Greetings,
In today's edition, let's talk about what happens when you overbook yourself. I'd also like to talk about when disciplining a charge is justified and the implications it can have on their education and growth.
I don't know when or why it became an aspect of our culture to frown upon proper discipline when it's called for. I think at some point in time, a parallel to abuse got drawn and the line between the two got confused for the general populace.
Often times in the jobs I've had in working with kids, I'm seen as the mean one by both my colleagues and students alike. But the results are always the same. Eventually, they connect my reactions to their own behavior and avoid making the same mistakes.
What threw me off for this episode was Flurry Heart's age. She acts like a toddler but who knows how old she actually is? I think it would do us some good to get some answers on this.
Be sure to let me know what you think.
It's good to be back.
