ML Office AU • Intro Arc Part 1 - First Interviews

It's an understatement when I say I am SO EXCITED to get this story going!

So, here's a bit of a background - recently I've been playing The Office (US) while I work for noise. I love this show and I've watched the whole thing a few times. Out of nowhere - as is my brain's tradition - I made this crossover connection. I love Jim and Pam's relationship and I started thinking how I could work that with Marinette and Felix.

I just finished a 10 (technically 11) part Felinette comic and said I was going to take a break from them, BUT CLEARLY MY CREATIVE SOUL WON'T LET ME. Instead of fighting it, I'm going to embrace it.

Now, I can't make this a perfect crossover since I really can't connect any characters together. What I'm going to do is take the interview film style from the show and the office setting (and dry/deadpan humor) and mix it in with an aged-up, undercover, pre-reveal Felinette (wow that's a mouthful...).

Here's the gist:

This is an AU where Felix holds the cat miraculous (no, there is no Adrien in this universe). Marinette and Felix went to school together and are now on to University, so they know each other, but they are not aware of each others' secret identities.

At some point, both Marinette and Felix separately find reasons to suspect something is going on at Gabriel's fashion company in connection to Hawk Moth. Neither tell the other what they're planning on doing during superhero duties. Marinette applies and is offered an internship as a Production Assistant for Gabriel's office. Felix gets in by asking his father for some work experience. Gabriel suspects something is going on for Felix to suddenly be interested in his work, so he sets up a documentary to be filmed of his office (run by none other than Alya Césaire) as a way to keep an eye on him.

Marinette and Felix are surprised to see each other, but seeing as they usually butted heads in school, they keep their distance. Until they don't HAHAHAHAAA!
