I´m sorry my friend but I cant think of a less dark anime than one piece especially after time skip. Exept these few charakters in this one paticular ark which im not gonna name, there´s really no brutal or dark scenes in this show. I´m saying this as a one piece fan btw. the manga is great but the show is for kids if we´re being honest. I mean compare it to Naruto Shippuden or Hunter x Hunter which i´ll prefer every day over one piece just because they are way darker......

My fav anime is naruto honestly OP is not even in my top 3 but you gotta explain is it his defense that makes you think crocodile would lose? It’s just if a logia type user knows a physical attack is coming most likely they forsure not gonna get hit. I get it’s sand vs sand but we just wouldn’t know if Garra used sand coffin if croc could escape through that. It’s really hard to choose honestly. Imo it could just be a never ending fight until the other collapse from exhaustion. If that’s the situation Garra would win. It’s very difficult to decide.

Even if you "know" Luffy doesn't die, just because there's still hundreds of more episodes and stuff, I think you guys still don't actually understand just what and how much this anime is capable of... 😭 You should totally prepare yourself for the possibility of ANY character's death, including Luffy's regardless of him being the main character, regardless of whether it'll be permanent or temporary. That's not to say that Luffy does die, I'm just saying that it's too naive of you guys to think that it's not even a possibility unless it's temporary or smth, lolz 😅 Because One Piece can honestly get so dark at times, and there's so much you don't yet understand about this world 💀

I totally forgot how awesome some animations back then were. Alabasta really has some crazy lightingstyle and sometimes very drawy animations. Then the soundtracks and silecemoments. For a 1999Show totally beautiful imo. Reminds me a bit on daredevil.

I think it has a decent story but overall it’s a little wild with side character storylines they should have just sticked to mostly the main character in my opinion. I will say I watched it and enjoyed it mostly but I could never rewatch it.

The more I watch Alabasta, the more hype I get for up coming arcs. Cause while Alabasta is a damn good arc, man are the other ones so fffffudging good as well. It's also crazy to hear Ron say "We just started this show" at episode 110. Only with One Piece would that even remotely make sense.

Crocodile is based off of Captain Hook in the sense that he has a hook and has the Crocodile theme. The rest of him could have inspiration from elsewhere too. Just like how usopp is based off of pinnochio, but does not have his full design. Soooo many one piece characters have taken inspiration from the real world like this
