So i don’t think Togashi ever said anything about Alluka’s gender but my best guest is that she was born male and w.e is inhabiting his body is female so she just choose to be female for some reason that will be explain later

Alluka was born a biological male like every other Zoldyck, the only female in the family is the mom. However Alluka looks and dresses like a female, which would lead you to believe she is a trans girl. No one in the family but Killua refers to Alluka as a female because he loves her. The rest of the Zoldycks neither care or love Alluka that is why they refer to her as he/him and even it.

Alluka is a trans girl (she is biologically a boy that identifies as female), while Kalluto just wears female clothing but considers himself a boy. Kalluto probably uses a kimono because in Japan there was a belief that you could make a weak kid stronger if he grows up wearing kimono. It could also be because its appropiate for his elegant japanese techniques, which he could have inherited from his mother Kikyou. It reminds me of Kazuki from Getbackers.

There's no really confirmation about Alluka's gender by the author. But it's not uncommon in the manga world, tho. In the anime profile from the official source, Alluka is a fourth son in Zoldyks, so probably physically a boy. But again, Togashi never confirmed it in the manga. Alluka identifies herself as a 'girl', also Killua calls her a 'sister'. Other than that, they all identify Alluka as a boy, including the butlers. The butlers call her "Bocchama", translated Master which is not a gender role in English but in Japanese it refers to Boy. For girls, it should be Ojousama/Jochama. That's all the information available. So the pronunciation changes depending on who talks about Alluka.

Yes, I know the subtitles can be confusing at times, but this time they are correct because as I understood it the first time I watched HxH, Alluka sees herself as a girl, but was born a boy and only Killua respects that Alluka sees herself as female and calls her his sister. And since the rest of the family doesn't even consider Alluka a member of the family, it's logical that they don't care if she sees herself as a girl and that's why they still call her a boy

Alluka gives 3 demands , as a reward she lets u grant a wish (eyes turn black). The next person that she requests to do things for her will scale off the severity of the previous wish. So when Killua asked what the last wish was and Silva said Milluki asked for a brand new PC, Killua said that shouldn’t be too bad. Referring to the severity of the next requests.

I don't think Togashi has confirmed anything a 100%. But Killua will continue to refer to her as sister and the family uses he or it. There are also some other hints, but discussing those could be a bit spoilery.

Alluka can make simple demands if the wish she granted previously was small. The smaller the wish the smaller the demand and vice versa. In the beginning, you saw that she asked for small things even after making Killua fly like "shake my hand, give me a piggyback, I want up up". She cannot not make demands her whole life, even we make "demands" when asking our friends "can you pass me that? can you hold that?" etc.

To add, the reason the subs are inconsistent is that the characters are inconsistent (so, the subs are correct). Illumi consistently refers to her as male (younger brother), for instance, and the parents tend to sidestep it by not referring to her by gendered pronouns. But, Togashi has confirmed that she is a trans girl.

The butlers had been referring to her as “bocchan” (meaning “young master”) which is used to refer to boys; and in a future episode Illumi does refer to her as “otouto” (little brother)… So Alluka is definitely a boy who identifies as a girl i think. Unless for some reason the zoldyck family is in denial about birthing a girl🤔 that would be interesting…

Killua treats Alluka as a girl. "imoto" means sister. Since Killua knows her more than anyone else, she's probably a girl. I'm not sure if Illumi refers Alluka as a brother but I think he meant "sibling" (but sure if there is such word in Japanese) with no specific gender (if I remember it correctly) when talking about her to Hisoka. Their parents, however, refers her as a thing. So they probably called her an "it" instead of a "he" or "she". The subtitle says it differently though.
