Its a lot of side characters stuff revolving around the mc coming up. It is alot of amazing fights, but also events and abilities yet to be seen. You’ll have to wait and see, but I promise it only continues to ramp up from here. Being a player is not what you think it is

to keep this without spoiler as good as possible, its a lot of getting stronger but in a much more interesting way which has to do with his powers that are rarely seen in anime, its very cool in my opinion but you will get there. also as the story progresses, the world building and other parts become very cool. it definitly isnt a plothole-less series, it also doesnt go into crazy stories like aot or so, so in that aspect i guess you'd be wrong if you called it a "weak mc gets op" anime but its not just brainless "i stronger than you i win", the focus shifts a lot later on to the overall plot of the verse :) tho idk how fast they progress in the story so i cant tell you when things shift.

Well said. Imo this is why he was so agile even though he didn't put his points into agility. The strength in his legs increased too so he was able to move so freely and felt like his body was light, which is somewhat realistic and unlike a game where strength doesn't mean you move more easily :p

I think of it like Baldur's Gate, its not necessarily his hands being stronger than his sword, but sometimes blunt attacks work better than slicing or piercing attacks and vice versa. Against, those armored scales, maybe one attack was better suited than the others. Also, I wasnt sure if you both missed it, but after killing the wolves and acquiring the title of "Wolf-Assassin", he got 40% damage increase against animal type monsters, which helped him later in the rest of the dungeon as well along with the levels he gained

So I loved this episode, but they didn't do a good job explaining the sword. That was the sword he picked up in the first dungeon that the hunter Kim dropped. When he said he didn't know how it got there, it's because his arm was cut off and he lost the sword.

As people have noted, none of this is a game it's just a leveling system, everything is real and a death is legit game over. Your overt focus on the system is making you think it is a game. Note how his arm is bigger at the end, the LN does a better job showing this with Jinwoo staying in the hospital longer and his experiments upon putting points into strength to see what he can lift. That would help here show how it translates. Also they noted how rare re-awakening in prior episodes and at anytime one can get re-evaluated. This wasnt expanded upon a reeval can be either by the Hunters request or the Guilds request. A note about this world, much like in The Boys with super hero's, Hunters are celebrities in this world. If you think of the world in that context it provides an idea of the attention Hunters get and why people would be at Gates taking pictures.

If you play elden ring and you put all your point on strength and you have an weak long sword than even with that sword you will do a lof of damage. Solo leveling power system is not that deep. Everyone supposed to have his predetermined rank when he awakens his power. Jin woo his just an special case. He his the only one leveling up so he his the only one who have level system. Everybody else can only be compared to him by rank. He defeated an c rank boss so now we know that his lvl 25 his as strong as an c rank hunter. He basically will kept upgrading his level and go up in rank but people won’t necessarily understand because it seems he is for now the only one withing a "game" that can allow him to level up. We will probably have more information about that later on.

His leveling clearly carried over into the real world. The way I think about it is he was an E rank hunter and the more he levels the closer he will get to S rank and his upside is unlimited but the higher up he goes the longer it takes to level just like in any game. This would be my guess as a fellow gamer, I havent read the manga.

i think u guys are reading a lil too into the leveling system.. its like genshin in a way. after beating bosses, you get exp but u get the most exp from "adventure books" and level up that way. when you use the green one as a level 1, it will probably level you up 2/3 times but as u get higher levels, you'll have to use way more exp books to level up just even once. jinwoo will probably stop leveling up so fast when he reaches a certain level, and it would probably take more exp for him to level up by fighting, in instance dungeons. i dont think gamers realize that aspect as much at first anyway.. getting a lil exp on level one can go a long way lmao

I suggest that you guys pay attention and follow his stats everytime they show his stats board. If you remember last episode, they evaluate the hunter ranking base on Mana. His mana has been increasing non stop with leveling if you check his stats board right before he takes a step down the stairs to fight the boss. He was only mana 10 the first time we saw his stats last episode, just like how much he got when they reevaluated him at the hospital.

Like many probably already mentioned or will mention. It's probably easier to think that he gained the ability to be a video game character (Player). Just like how some hunter awaken the ability to use magic, be it healing spells, fire spells and others. He gained the ability to level up, grow his stats, gain titles, items, etc. As for the instance dungeon that he just cleared. You can think of it like Knov's nen ability in Hunter x Hunter. It's a created space that they can get into. A different dimension perhaps, but not a different reality. It is still the real them, experiencing real events.

His arm looked physically stronger, muscles bigger and defined. So it seems his stat increases affect his body like he theorized. Also He crushed a stronger bosses armored body unarmed, so breaking a weaker bosses defense with the sword isnt a big stretch as he levelled more after the snake fight.

Also the sword he got from his inventory was from Kim ( the guy who was crying during the double dungeon) who left it when he was running away so the game like system picked it up for him and put it inside his inventory.
