My biggest points were that someone appeared to say that 10,000 bodies were necessary to create a Demon Lord, when it is souls that are required; and that Noir came in response to an offering of bodies, but it wasn't because it was bodies, it's just what Rimuru offered. Probably Rimuru could have offered anything, and Noir would have come anyway.

2024-01-19 16:34:53 +0000 UTCYou missunderstood me, i Said to the comment before "If it only Takes 10-20k bodies to summon yourself a primordial demon, every demon Lord would have one" meaning that it isnt the amount of bodies that suffice to FORCEFULLY summon a primordial. The 20k bodies was merely enough to summon strong demons and Noir decided to place himself as one of the summoned demons. Normally another, weaker demon would have been summoned in His stead, If Noir didnt choose to be summoned voluntarily there. Also, yes, demon Lord and demons dont have any specific Connection, its Just that their names align. I never Said demon Lords rule over demons. My example was Just to Show how having a large amount of corpses doesnt mean summoning primordials because If that was the Case, everytime a demon Lord evolves, they COULD summon a primordial If they wanted to, which would Break the Power Balance/scaling. I Hope that makes it more Clear to you, as to what i was trying to say.

2024-01-19 15:14:57 +0000 UTCHey! Just to clarify, the gifts bestowed upon all of his subordinates are indeed gifts. Basically, they’ve all become much stronger and developed new extra abilities. It was said in the first season that one’s subordinates evolve when named because their master gives them magicules to make them stronger. They also say that the amount of magicules given depends on how many magicules the master has (how strong he is). Basically, now Rimuru is much, much stronger than he was. He has a lot more magicules than he used to have. So, his subordinates have become much, much stronger as well. As Rimuru evolves his subordinates evolve strength-wise.

While souls are their favorite offering, demons can take anything they want to make an agreement. In this case, 20,000 bodies happened to be the "enormous" offering that was valuable to Noir, in that he got a precious permanent body...,................. I got the impression that some people think that demon lords are basically lords of demons, meaning, now they rule over demons. Not really. Rimuru's just happened to need someone to take care of the stragglers, so he summoned a demon, which he had learned to do some time ago. Noir has been trying to get summoned by Rimuru for some time as well.

2024-01-19 08:44:22 +0000 UTCSo something to notice razen was freaking out because rimuru summoned an unspeakable demon and he even said the name while trembling, he said primordial. This is an important thing to notice because they are of the highest of the high. I don’t want to spoil anything but just know that noir the demon that was summoned is extremely loyal and trust he won’t do anything against rimuru. He’s also extremely funny but a named demon is already a force to be reckoned with. Just keep that in mind, also when rimuru was putting the souls back it wasn’t rimuru but Raphael the improved version of the great sage. Most of this gets explained but some of it is lost since they couldn’t adapt more from the light novels and I can’t wait for season 3 because it would go more into depth since I’ve read up to volume 20 just know that this is awesome and I love y’all’s reaction to this and this is why I subscribed to y’all 🥹. Can’t wait for more episodes it’s gonna be 🔥 🔥 🔥

Great Sage considered it necessary to do everything she could to make Rimuru's wishes of resurrecting his followers come true. This is her purpose for existing. 3.14% was not good enough. In order to fulfill his wishes, she and Gluttony both would have to become much more capable. So she took the unprecedented step of requesting them to be evolved and would not give up. This initiative from a mere Skill had been unheard of previously.

Benimaru and Rimuru had planned all kinds of emergency measures to be taken if Rimuru looked like his personality changed and he ran out of control, which was entirely dependent on being able to act after Rimuru evolved. This is why Benimaru forced himself to stay awake until he felt reassured by Raphael (that was Raphael, btw).

There is also different kinds of overlapping power scaling within demons, age being a key one, undefeated status being another, and different limitations on power until they break through them. I wish I could remember the details. As far as the quality of the physical body, here, for once, I think it was quantity that was the deciding factor. When the Silver Wings summoned Kuro in Episode 24, they almost overstepped, and if Kuro hadn't found the task interesting, they wouldn't have been able to control him. But their two bodies were only enough to keep him around for 3 days. In order to stick around for more than a brief time, they need some sort of physical body. In Rimuru's case, Rimuru gave Kuro 20,000 bodies, enough to give him a permanent physical body. In other words, Kuro can now stay in the world indefinitely.

I mean 10k bodies is requirement for demon Lord Evolution and If you know the verse, you'll know about the Power Balance between primordials and demon Lords and so on. 2024-01-19 04:58:49 +0000 UTCokay, let me clear up a bit of the confusion (atleast the parts, that have already been talked about previously and just have been forgotten, obviously nothing that will be resolved in the future) Ron asked about how it came to be that Noir was being summoned. Basically there is a waiting line for demons to be summoned and from what we saw back when Noir had the Flashback episode at the end of season 1, he was VERY interested in Shizu's mask because it was able to block noir's attack. Ever since then he has been watching the Mask and when he saw Rimuru, with the mask, summoning Demons he basically "cut the line" and voluntarily let himself be summoned so he can be with Rimuru, who he finds so intriguing/interesting. What motives and goals he has, i wont talk about, you'll learn that over time i'd say About the "new voice" of rimuru, just as you kinda guessed, it was raphael controlling his body, while he was still sleeping from the transformation. Great Sage has evolved, since it felt like it wasnt sufficient enough anymore (couldnt give answers when Rimuru was asking about trusting humans and so on after Shion was killed) and after the upgrade from great sage to Raphael, Raphael took over and did the resurrection in Rimuru's stead. Thats where the red eyes come from. Its the same as when Rimuru let Great Sage "autopilot" the fight against the Orc Disaster back at the start for some time. I hope this cleared some of the questions that wont be addressed in the future as far as i know. awesome episode tho!

What the anime skips is that demon is a race with an internal hierarchy (lesser, greater, arch, and then then seven progenitors mentioned in episode 24). Demon lord is like a job class that any magic born (monsters, demons, and such) can get if they meet the requirements.

The red eyes are the same color as when Great Sage controlled Rimuru during the initial fight against the Orc Disaster). The reason is that the skill is doing all the work of resurrecting everyone while Rimuru himself is asleep. In the Slime Diaries manga, Great Sage was at a loss since it couldn't answer Rimuru's queries, "Why did it turn out like this? What was the right thing to do? Was it wrong to get involved with humans? Tell me... was I in the wrong?", and could only offer "Cannot calculate, Cannot comprehend, Cannot answer". This is the reason why it petitioned to the Words of The World to be allowed to evolve, to be able to understand and comprehend better, and be of better use to its master.

Basically, the better the offering, the better their physical body and so it would serve as a better vessel. This is just a theory based on Kuro wanting to test his body after he got what he admits is a nice offering.

When he was previously summoned he mentioned something like only being able to be active for a few days with this much or something.

2024-01-19 00:59:38 +0000 UTCTo answer Rons question about power levelling, from my understanding, a demon lord is basically the top of the demon hierarchy, even tho Kuro or Black who just got summoned in this episode is a primordial demon, he would come below a demon lord. This applies only to a true demon lord though. There are some demon lords (Clayman posssibly one of them) who haven't actually evolved to a true demon lord and are only claiming the name of a demon lord because of influence or power over a region. Rimuru had a theory in a previous episode that Clayman probably was inciting this war to get the souls so he could be the one to evolve to true demon lord. Also, some different levels of demons were mentioned in this episode, the order would be primordial demon > archdemon > greater demon > lesser demon
