I’m a fan of Slime, both the show and novels, but it really has some of the worst pacing of any story I’ve seen. The writer just really loves meetings, I think lol. If there is any opportunity to insert a meeting scene, the writer will pounce on it.

There's a difference between demon lord and "true" demon lord in this anime. Demon lord just means someone who was acknowledged by everyone else to be of that rank, basically someone who is in control of a region, like the overlord of a place. The show or even manga doesn't clearly explain what exacly demon lord means, it's just something people are expected to know like anime general knowledge I guess. A true demon lord is someone who got a demon lord seed, got the souls they need and evolved to the true demon lord race, like how the ogres evolved to Kijin. Since Clayman isn't a "true" demon lord but just a demon lord, he has control over a region and has people under his command and can be a force to reckoned with, but he himself has not evoled to the true demon lord race and so can be seen as not that strong (unlike Milim who is a true demon lord and is f-ing strong), which is what Rimuru said too. Also, it was told that it was a hero who sealed Veldora away. As per isekai anime "general knowledge" a demon lord is someone who is destined to destroy/take over/rule over the world, and a hero is someone who is destined to stand up against the demon lord and save the world from destruction/the demon lord's reign. This ties into the people who are acknowledged as demon lords (not the "true" demon lords), as people see them as the ones destined to "rule" :p

At the same time, they’re think too deeply about the wrong aspect of the show 🤣🤣🤣 biggest overlooked info and character designs of the hero from 300 years ago and what her connections are.

Finally it picks up speed being super cool and catchy after all the feel-good and then they full stop it with an episode or 2 of literally just talking about what is going to happen, instead of saying it while it happens (Which, when watching live, means that you have to wait 2-3 weeks before anything happens)

They mentioned that Milim "sealed away her once-beloved companion" instead of maybe just saying something like "laid him to rest". They know Veldora was "sealed away" in the Infinity Prison, which might account for some confusion.

Point wasn't to say anybody is anything, but just ignoring things like character killed thousands and then go it's so sweet is little contradiction for your mind if you think about it. This is just pure fiction in the end. I like Milim and she isn't human so she did have rights to go rampaging, but at the same time I would never want to be in a world where she is =)

Would it be better if they sent out armies to do it? Also, with Milim, we're talking a child having a tantrum. She just happens to have a lot more destructive power than your average child. None of this makes it alright, but if we avoid everything where fictional people were hurt or killed, we'd have to give up a lot of anime, among other things.

They are currently already watching Naruto and one piece that will take up a ton of time for one of those older anime slots.
