I have a friend that’s a voice actor and we had a chat about this and he explained that they’re given much less time to prepare for the role or even to understand what’s going on. Like they’re taken in for a role and boom you listen to it once in Japanese if that, and then boom pull the line out of your ass lol. That and he was saying that it’s hard to pull those emotions out so quickly because sometimes you’re doing one line from one episode and then you’re shifted to the line from another and so you don’t really know what’s actually happening until you see it play out. I will say I still agree that less care is put into the English dubs but I don’t think it’s cause the voice actors don’t care about their roles.

American animation has great VAs, American dubs of anime just don't seem to care, except Ghost Stories, that was a dub team that was actually excited about what they were doing.

So if Rimuru has any chance of reviving anyone which is anyone's guess until we see what happens next, he would be able to do something that not even Milim can do. (I've seen the show before).

I had to pause it and compose myself the first time I saw it cause Gobtas scream/cry was legit the best portrayal of grief I’ve heard in anime, plus seeing Shion broke me. I had to compare the English VA to the Japanese VA during Gobtas scream and when I tell you the difference is night and day… I’ve stayed watching Subbed ever since this anime lol.

2024-01-07 05:59:58 +0000 UTCRegarding the fairy tail, she didn't say it directly but the art clearly is showing Milim as the dragon princess as far as I can tell. So Milim is the daughter of a dragon and a human, and her dragon dad made her a small version of himself as a pet but a human kingdom killed the pet dragon in an attempt to kill Milim, so Milim wiped out the whole kingdom and became a demon lord. The pet dragon that died came back to life but had no soul so Milim had to put it back to rest basically. Veldora has a soul so the dragon in question here that died definitely isn't Veldora. Also, the pet dragon that came back to life was called Chaos Dragon and Veldora is the Storm Dragon, another clear difference. P.S. I'm extremely excited for Ep 10-11

And the other hasn’t been introduced yet so I won’t spoil it. So just so yall know it was true that ramiris was once a strong demon lord 🤣🤣🤣. Even if she doesn’t look like it now.
