I don't know if anyone has told you guys about this but the generation of miracles are all named after their signature colors in japanese (like Kise = yellow, Midorima = green, etc.) Kuroko is the only exception since his name is derived from the word Kuro which is the color black.

The shooter's name from the Generation of Miracles is Midorima, not Midorimacchi. "Midorimacchi" is Kise's nickname for him. Kise always gives everyone he respects a nickname that ends with "cchi". So, just call him Midorima 😅 And I can't wait for you to meet the player with the blue hair! He's my favorite from the Generation of Miracles! 💙💙💙

Here are the brief of what their names mean in Japanese: - Kagami: ‘Ka’ means ‘fire/flame or Light’. He is the light toward Kuroko. - Kuroko: ‘Kuro’ means ‘black’. He’s the Shadow. - Kise: ‘Ki’ mean ‘Yellow’, aka his hair - Midorima: ‘Midori’ mean ‘Green’, aka his hair. Basically, the Generation of Miracle’s names are based on their hair color.

Truee, Kuro in Kuroko means black referring to him being the shadow and Kagami means mirror which is a reference to him being light too. Very color based theme for many of the names of important characters in this anime.

Btw the green haired shooter's name is Midorima not Midorimacchi, thats just Kise's nickname for him. Kuroko mentioned that Kise puts "-cchi" at the end of names of people he respects, like he calls Kuroko as Kurokocchi and he even called Kagami as Kagamicchi at the end. Its like when people put "-san" at the end of people's names when addressing them but way more informal xD.

One thing I really like about this show is the mystery aspect. There's something going on with the Kuroko and his history with the GoMs (Generation of Miracles). And the shooter's name is Midorima, the "-cchi" at the end Kise adds to everyone he respects. Hence Midorima-cchi, Kuroko-cchi, etc. Easter egg: "Ki" in Kise means yellow, "Midori" in Midorima means green, similar for the other GoMs.
