In season one, Gojo says Yuji will inherit all of Sukuna’s techniques in time. I’m guessing Maki and Nanami can be recovered because Jogo intends for them to be used as bargaining chips. My hope is that Yuji will regain control and find himself suddenly capable of doing reverse curse technique now that he has consumed so many fingers.

the special grade weapon he stole from maki was toji's to begin with. it was part of his weird worm looking curse weapong inventory he had wrapped around him. he used it earlier in the season. the worm that had all the weapons crawled over to Geto and got adopetd by him after toji was killed. then Geto used the weapon in JJK 0 movie against Yuta & Rika, then Tokyo Jujutsu high kept it after Geto was killed outside the school by gojo in jjk 0

Just because she said "Toji Zenin" at the seance doesn't mean she brought back a younger Toji, she just said Zenin because she probably didn't know that he changed his last name in Fushiguro. So the comment that said this is a younger Toji is misinformation. The last name makes no difference, she can only bring back Toji, but she can't bring back a specific version of him, since she just brings back the soul

Also, you notice that the animation looks dim. The reason for that is because they say they “adhere” to safety guidelines with bright flashy colors , but really it’s just so people can buy the Blu-ray and see the animation as the animators made it.

I think season 1 animation is not bad, its very "anime" while s2 is more cinematic. But what I love in season 1, the director put all the effort in fight scenes and other important scenes (like Nobara and Yuji's dialogue at the end) so I don't get bothered by other quality. Especially because Yuji has no curse technique, it emphasized the martial art factors, the choreography was so well adapted from the manga panel because the author use so many martial arts poses. And strong sorcers like Gojo and Geto are good at physical attacks too. While season 2 is too much using cinematic and making gorgeous art, adding anime original scenes like Geto drinking tea (😂), but the fight scenes are mostly flat (except for ep 37 and this episode). I was so disappointed with Hidden Inventory arc because I've seen so many cool poses in manga panel by the author but the anime shows mostly close ups that taking away how fast and strong both Gojo and Toji were. Glad they changed it on ep 37 Choso vs Yuji fight and Toji in this episode. Also, s1 animation is more consistent than s2, so it doesn't feel weird in s1. Like in s2 in the beginning they made the characters mouth moving for each words but in shibuya arc suddenly its all gone and flat, the drawings of each character is unconsistent too.

yep, it's not young or old Toji. Actually for the name thing, the author confirmed that grandma used Zenin name because for seance it has to be a name that closer to when he was born. So lets say if he had changed name 2 times, and people doesn't know his real name (born name) but knows other 2 names, then they have to use the earlier one for seance.

Ok to the one who said that who knows which toji the grandma revived. I don't think it's a younger toji or older toji. Because they called him zenin. Everyone did call him zenin even tho he took the name fushiguro, toji even corrected the guy he was working with in the first episode, he said he goes by fushiguro now.

Even if everyone was at full strength Toji would still be going after Megumi, the only reason he goes after Dagon is because they’re all in his domain so he needed to be taken out first. More on that in the future

Actually he does. While he’s in control he can do whatever he wants to Yujis body and be fine but he needs for Yuji to be alive to live within him. If Yuji dies he stops being a vessel, and his body just becomes a cursed object for the part of Sukunas power that he had already ingested

This opening has loads of spoilers in it, you wouldn’t notice it until it plays out in the anime. (Manga readers know and Mappa is evil af for making that opening💀) I think you should react to the opening after the end of the season and see if you can point out what is happening in the opening.

So to clarify when Jogo was talking about Sukuna's reverse curse technique at the end, basically yeah Sukuna does have the capability of healing people. However, he cant fix the shape of someones soul when Mahito transigures them. So remember in season 1, when Junpei got transfigured by Mahito, Yuuji started screaming to Sukuna for help and even offered Sukuna complete control of his body so long as he heals Junpei. But Sukuna refused, and so Jogo is making the connection that he probably couldnt do it even if he wanted to. Now Jogo proposes that he does that again, and says a lot of his friends are there, meaning he can probably just go kill/fataly wound some of them and force Yuuji to give permanent control in exchange for sparing them.

Michelle is correct. Toji is absolutely going after what he senses to be the strongest. At this point, he’s pretty much like a homing device. That’s why he completely ignored everyone once going through Megumi’s exit and went straight towards Dagon after taking the 3-section staff from Maki. And yes, Megumi is the strongest based on cursed energy right now. Nanami and Grandpa Zenin are both severely injured from their fight and were both on the cusp of dying. Nanami even confirmed they all would have died if Megumi hadn’t come to help.

I feel like the animation in season one was really good. Like it was one of the consistently better animated shows at the time of its release. I remember everyone loving the animation. I think because the art style is kinda different for season 2, it may seem like season one’s animation was “bad”. But really the style is just different now and the budget is higher because shit’s getting serious.

Breaking down what the narrator explained. The old woman when 'summoning' Toji with the grandson as a medium/vessel programmed him to kill the strongest curse user in his vicinity. The old woman was killed by body Toji. When curse energy runs out of the grandson's body, the summoning should break and Toji will then be gone. However, Toji's does not and cannot use curse energy so the the curse energy present in the grandson's body does not run out and therefore keeping the summoning active and Toji continuing to kill every strongest curse user he encounters. After Dagon the squid curse, Megumi seems to be the next strongest and was targeted by Toji. And RIP to all in this episode. 😢🪦

Michelle was right about Toji's going towards the strongest, in the manga right before he went to Megumi, the monologue of "His fangs constantly directly toward to the strongest..." was repeated. So in the domain, Dagon was the strongest, but after that, Megumi. Ofc Megumi's potential is huge but also remember other 3 were all wounded and have not much strength anymore.

4:33 in this video: One side note, in the manga it wasn't clear but in the anime when Naobito looked at Toji, Toji's mouth is closed up then he realized it was Toji. The author has explained in the fanbook, that he's been bullied in Zenin clan, people threw him to a place with bunch of curses. The scar on his mouth was caused by those bullying, so maybe the anime wanted to show Naobito's recognized him or he became sure it was him, by that scar (it's just my assuming, tho). Such a f up clan.

THEY DID JUSTICE THIS EPISODE!! This is the fast moves I WISHED for TOJI on Hidden inventory arc and NAOBITO on the last episode 😭 I'm also happy they did recap to add the monologue which wasn't added on last episode, this episode's director knows what they're doing 😭 I saw the director on twitter(or X, whatever), a Taiwanese director. Shout out to fellow Taiwanese here! 💓 A lot of animators this episode was from ep. 37 too, who did the Choso vs Yuji fight. No wonder the quality is AWESOME 🧚 We know it's a great episode when the animators are excited and flooded the twitter before the air time. And all of their posts were about thanking their directors and production staff for this episode (they even mentioned BY NAME!) for waiting for them submit their works to like until the very last minute even the deadline has passed. A few weeks ago, I saw one of the animators posted "usually a director who can negotiate the deadline until the very last minute make a good work than a director who just accept the deadline and create within the time", and I get it now, because the last episode's director said by himself that he downgraded some parts because of the deadline. I know some anime fans would say "animators work their butt off, don't hate on them" yes I agree hating is not okay but giving critique is necessary, to the studio MAPPA. If we just consume and happy with whatever quality they did, the studio will continue what they do, by making the animators suffer working in short amount of time. If the consumer doesn't like the quality and speak up about it it, they will realize their schedules are not realistic try to extend them. (Even the last episode's director said don't give cheering and comforting words to him because it feels like an insult for him, he knows he didn't do good that's why he put fake name on credit so people wouldn't find about him.) I just hope the animators' working environment will be better and they get paid for what they've worked 😢 and please support those animators by following their accounts and sharing their works! Because we can support the studio by buying anime merch but it doesn't go to the animators :((((
