Idk if it’s just me but the part when the old man first used his technique I was tripping cause I could’ve sworn the old man has switched sides and like led them down there, that would’ve been I crazy plot twist 😭😭 but yes this episode was crazy. And when Toji came out the water I thought it was Todo since it was just the hands about to do his switching places technique which would’ve been amazing so send Toji really got me

I might have to read manga after this arc. This season has blown my mind atm this is possibly my 2nd fav anime ever. I’ve been watching anime for 15+ years. I personally am just in love with this show. Yes I’ve watched/watching the big 3. It’s just this show man it’s like in a alternate dimension could be real life being based on the real world.

They brought back younger Togi, so I don't think he has had Megumi yet! The only person who will know him, and who Togi will recognize as well, is the Zen'in clan leader. I think grandma brought back full on sorcerer-killer Togi. I honestly have no idea what to expect from him. He such a wild card! Sooooo hard to wait a whole week.

Appreciate you guys for rewatching s1, I really do hope you guys will read the manga (in tankobon, not chapters) on your free time, though. There are just so many information packed there, that won't be explained on anime. Especially for s2 because MAPPA did it again, not-so-good adaptation the latter part of the episode (the first part with Mei Mei was incredible!!!!) :((( Aside of the additional information in manga, the main story itself like this episode, they didn't showcase Naobito's ability (and he's not just a part of Zen'in clan, he is THE HEAD of the clan) that well, as well as how he cooperated with Nanami and Maki, both of them are known super good in close-combat and speedy, so 3 of them are quite good combination for high speed battle. Which, in the manga it's written very well. There are a lot of monologue they skipped too in the anime, I understand from the perspective of animation, but for this episode, they're quite important. Some of the animators themselves said on twitter, "don't put expectation too much on this episode", and yeah they literally told the public that they're burnt out. Especially after the last episode was really good adaptation. The quality of each episodes are so different. I wonder how the main director is handling this, seems like soooo much fishy things going on, like too many sakuga directors in one episode, which means too many things to be fixed from animators' drawings, and some directors in particular episodes even didn't have experience with videography and didn't get a test for sakuga drawing. Also a lot of jjk "animators" flexing their "work" on twitter, and they're being critique by other animators in jjk, how they didn't do their jobs and just flexing. Mostly freelance animators from overseas tho (don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good freelance animators from overseas too). Chaos. :( if they have time to make anime original scenes like Meimei and Utahime's haunting house and Geto drinking tea, I wish they could've put that effort in the main scene, especially battle scene for more. These animators deserve better environment :((( I was super excited for Shibuya Arc, so hopefully it doesn't get worse...also the health of the animators....especially for people who have to do 2nd key drawings and fixing the drawings...hopefully they get to rest or at least get a good director to support and handle them...

Tbh JJK is that type of anime where i would say to people to also read the manga cause it's a very tricky one to understand for the most part... even now the manga readers engaged in long discussions about how a technique works for example so... i hope you go back to your livestreams please🙏🏼it's always a great time🤗🫶🏼

Fun fact: I just learned this, but JJK was actually a one shot. The creator never expected it to become a popular anime manga story. It was called something like jiu-jitsu curse technical school. It was so popular that people wanted more. Yuta was the main character of the one shot meaning he was supposed to be the main character that’s also why they changed Izumaki hair style because they did not want him to look like it’s Itadori. So props to the creator for making such a amazing piece of art. Never expecting it to have the fandom had.

Actually, during that JJK break after Hidden Inventory arc, there are 2(?) recap episodes that includes the movie recap. You can watch it if you don’t have time to rewatch the whole season. But rewatching the previous season and movie is fun because you can pick up the clues that you didn’t notice when you first watch it.

YES!! There is a lot of dialogue that’s being left out because there’s so much action this season. I definitely recommend reading the manga. You can talk to mods about what chapter corresponds to each episode.
