Edit: You figured it out minutes later anyway lol Regarding your comments about the flowers being still intact, I think the explanation is that Mob put a barrier around them to protect them. Remember that he was so focused on going to see Tsubomi and give her them before having the accident, also when Teruki tried to get rid of them.

It might've been nice to have a cutaway to them, I suppose, even if it's just them worriedly watching the news from an evac point. EDIT: Nevermind, it literally did happen there.
