A couple of days ago, I started modeling Daisy's bedroom. It's something I've had in mind for a while, and it could be a simpler, more casual environment than the diner to pose her in. To speed things up, I may just buy whatever furnishings I can from a 3D asset store - her bed, dresser, computer desk & chair, etc... a pile of stuffed animals may need to be done on my own, though.
Daisy's room and other side projects will either need to be pushed aside again, soon, or I'll finally need to learn how to properly budget my time. The contract I've been on for the past year is set to resume on Monday, and could go for a month and a half to two months, this time. Lucky for me, I'll mostly be doing technical work, which I find far less draining than animation. It's hard to say if I'll have time to color any of the things I've drawn recently, but we'll have to wait and see.
The bigger news is that by the time this job is done, my team may be starting another, bigger project... one that could be demo-reel worthy. If we do get the job, it sounds like it could easily be at least two years of solid work, most of it again being technical for me - character rigging & deformation, and any tools that need to be developed to make that easier/faster.
Worst case scenario, my Patreon campaign gets paused again during the busy/stressful months.
