WHERE I'VE BEEN :o

Hello lovlies~

I'm so sorry this update has been so late. Last time we talked, I mentioned that I possibly had to get knee surgery. The end of September and most of October was spent going in and out of many, many doctor offices. It took awhile to figure out exactly what was wrong with my knee and what was the best course of action to take. After figuring out that my MPF ligament was on the verge of snapping, my doctors and I decided surgery was needed ASAP.

Since I have a history of congenital heart defect, I had to get so many tests and imaging done to get medical clearance for my surgery. I went in to get my surgery earlier this week and am home resting and healing now.

The first few days were very rough pain-wise, and I spent most of this week sleeping and icing my knee. I start physical therapy next week and am looking forward to healing, regaining my mobility/range of motion, and more importantly, no more knee subluxations or dislocations!!

Due to the craziness of everything, I am severely behind on drawing. :( And for that, I'm so so sorry. My mental health has taken even more of a nosedive (if that's even possible haha), as I can barely walk and am dependent on my family to get through the day. But, good news is that I'm finally not in as much pain and I am off of narcotic pain meds! Hallelujah! So I am more awake and mentally there.

I will be spending the rest of the month drawing as much as I can in between my physical therapy appointments. My recovery is a long one. I won't be fully healed until at least 4 months, so I hope you all can be patient with me during this last couple months of 2022. I have big plans for next year and I can't wait to share it with you all. <3

October rewards will be quite delayed due to my health at the moment, but I will try my hardest to get them out ASAP! My sister will be helping me with my shop + shipping out patreon rewards until I gain more mobility. I am so thankful for her. :') I will try to have October's rewards posted by the end of the month!!!

I hope you all are doing well and taking care of yourselves. This year has really tested me mentally and physically, but I hope to heal and reemerge stronger and happier than ever. Thank you for all of your kind words and patience in the meantime.

I will be forever thankful of this little community, supporting me through these tough times. Your support has helped me paid for my medical expenses. I really don't know what I would do without you all.

A MILLION HUGS AND KISSES,

ANG x

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry to hear that you went through a similar situation. :( I got my MPFL reconstruction with an allograph as well. Recovery has been super not fun. A lot of pain the first 2 weeks, but it's finally easing up - thank goodness. PT has also been challenging. I find myself getting worn out quite quickly but I'm trying to push myself so I can heal up and regain my range of motion ASAP. Can I ask how long it took for you to feel like you can walk normally without pain? I still am having trouble sitting for long periods of time. Thank you for your kind words. It makes me feel less alone in my struggles. You're the best :')

Take your time and heal up ❤️

I tore my ACL back in 2017 and did a MPF autograft and that recovery was not fun. Make sure you have a good physical therapist that doesn't baby your recovery!! And good luck with the recovery as well!! Also that knee brace is the worst TM so definitely get out of it as soon as you can! Not sure how yours differs from ACL recovery. ahhh. If you need someone to commiserate with, I gotchu lol.
