I should probably get Violet's rig started, and maybe block in some animation, because otherwise I'm reaching the point where things stop being fun for me - texturing and shading. Vi's eyes are going to be tricky in a number of ways, starting with her pupils - her eyes aren't spherical, so her pupils can't be sculpted in. Not if I want to keep them circular... Instead, they're projected on. Daisy and Rose also used projected pupils, but this time I've added displacement to the mix, to push the iris in. One thing that's nice about the projection setup, is it lets me scale the pupil and iris separately. What's not so nice, is that the setup is so confusing that I had to steal it from Daisy, since apparently the tutorial I wrote for myself way back wasn't all that clear. One problem with the displacement, though, is that I'll need to change the interior of her eyelids - currently the edges merge to a point at the center of the eye, instead of wrapping around the eyeball. If I don't fix that, it'll clip through her cornea depending on where she's looking.
