Porsche 911 (930) Turbo - 1985 (Assetto Corsa Mod)

For the 1975 model year, Porsche introduced the first production turbocharged 911.

It was the maker's top-of-the-range 911 model and, at the time of its introduction, was the fastest production car available in Germany.

In 1978 the Porsche 911 Turbo was released with many updates to help solve the problems from the previous first edition. The Porsche 911 Turbo released in 1978 came with their new 3.3-liter engine.

This new 930 was incredibly fast and light making it yet again a very dangerous car for unprepared drivers. The biggest styling change came from the addition of the larger whale tail needed to hide the larger intercooler. The 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo was also the first model to have a turbo boost gauge on the dash. 

1985 Model Year – F Series Cars

For the 1985 model year we got thicker anti-roll bars, an enlarged 85-litre fuel tank and bigger brake master cylinder. On the interior the seats were new and now electronically controlled (including heating). Central locking became standard and the radio antenna was integrated to the windscreen. A short shift gear lever was added along with a new four-spoke steering wheel.

I tweaked most of the data files trying to match the actual model specs and thus get similar performance - top speed / acceleration / braking times / lap times.

I also worked on the 3D model, exterior and interior, to match the original 1985 Turbo version.

The skins were made trying to match the original exterior and interior colors available at the time.

There are a few more details I'd like to improve... I hope to release an update version in the near future.
