If you can provide that friendly experience, include the friends into the shoot by delegating (Letting them DJ, giving them the assignment of helping out with being the creative director and set assistant for hair, wardrobe fixes, etc) then 80% of the time the friends will ALWAYS book with you when its their turn.

This is why i love doing graduation shoots because its CONSTANT clientele when you get the flow going.

Don't forget the friends guys:

SHOW THEM THE PHOTOS AS WELL
INCORPORATE THEM INTO THE SHOOT
DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK THEM FOR IDEAS FOR THEIR FRIEND THAT YOU'RE SHOOTINGAS WELL
Etc.

This can be applied to any type of shoots IMO because it all just boils down to NETWORKING. The more you speak up and make friends, the easier it is for them to recommend you to everybody.
