Learning how to human
Added 2018-08-20 19:24:22 +0000 UTCWe checked out a graphic novel called "Sunstone" from the library (NSFW warning if you look it up). I love the art style. So I'm tinkering around with it, trying to incorporate what I like about it with my own art.
The black and white bits are pretty much direct traces where the Twi and Luna are just referencing the style of Stjepan Sejic (the author and artist of "Sunstone"). The Luna is the least directly referenced.
I definitely need to tinker with it some more for it to become more natural to me, but I think I like this art direction.

I absolutely LOVE the sunstone books, I have them all and bought the Calendar Mr. Sejic made for the series.

2018-08-26 20:29:24 +0000 UTCOoh, exciting new venture. I hope some unsolicited, yet constructive criticism is appropriate here. Luna's eyes are much too high up. Twi's eyes wrap around the face kind of pony style, which to me looks rather creepy on a human.
