I saw this in the theatre on the opening Friday when I was 27. I went to see it and it was sold out, so I bought a ticket for the last show of the night. I was exhausted and fighting to stay awake when I walked to the cinema but I sat there and watched it from start to finish. It's not a perfect movie and I know many comicbook fans who wanted to see other things happen in this movie, but I still feel it was a spectacle to behold from start to finish. This is on par with Joker from 2019 to me and will forever be one of my favorite movies. I still think the doctor was supposed to be played by Stan after all these years and I will never forgive the Academy for not nominating Logan for Best Score. The music for James's eulogy was 'Who Wants to Live Forever', I mean seriously! Fun bit of trivia, Shane is the movie they watch in the hotel room. Charles says he saw it when he was a young boy. Patrick Stewart said that it was one of the first films he saw in the cinema when he was a child, and ironically, the makeup artist for Logan was the child of the makeup artist of Shane.

It was a good watch I just wish they went deeper into the backstory of what happened to the Xmen and other mutants instead of little hint's throughout the film, "unless i missed something". I know they added junk to the food so the gene would be bred out of existence but what about those that were left still? Mentioned Charles accidently killed seven but I'm sure there were more Xmen at the time than that. Cheers!!

What kinda training? He was in multiple wars so plenty of military training. Ain't nothing wrong with crying when losing a loved one... Logan was dying and closer to death the whole movie. Why would you be so surprised he died at the end? They even said it at the beginning of Deadpool 2 that he died which you already watched. . Logan was never invincible. Prof X gone, Wolverine gone. Deadpool 2 would have been the next movie to watch, but now you just need to watch Fantastic 4 (2005), and Daredevil (2003) and you will be ready for Deadpool & Wolverine.

the creators explained that the new timeline spun off of the end of Days Of Future Past is unconnected to Logan as this movie is a standalone "alternative future". The only other ties to Future Past's new branching future are Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix. This isn't a sequel to that movie, anyways. So this ones a standalone adventure that only directly acknowledges X-Men 1, Origins and The Wolverine in passing mention. That being said I've always imagined all of the movies to share a single continuity, even retcons, cause despite the inconsistencies comics do that too. Seeing as if it wasn't the Sentinels then Charles would've been the one to wipe every mutant out, its an Absolute Point. Inevitable outcome in my opinion, but yeah. I still like each entry for what all of em bring to the table

I was just saying what my problems with them was even though I understood what they was doing, but you did remind me of the chest piece that fell in the end. I forgot about that, thank you 🙏🏾 Also in the Logan it's not a new timeline. Everybody was alive again in futures past. When they was driving they said on the radio that the seizure the professor had years ago killed everyone at the school basically, and that's when Logan cut the radio off quick to protect him from it, because he still didn't know. The professor didn't realize what he's done until he finally remembered that night in bed when he thought he was talking to wolverine when he got stabbed. Now everyone is dead.

To clear up some stuff and answer a few questions, the cure in X-men 3 was only temporary as proven by magneto moving the chess piece at the final scene. Charles survived cause he transferred his consciousness into another body, the one in a coma at the end of 3, and either got plastic surgery or cloned, something like that. The new timeline Wolverine creates at the end of Future Past isn't connected to this movie Logan, this film is in its own continuity because of the conflicting info of the last mutant being born "25 years ago". So the ones Charles killed wasn't the same OGs that got brought back to life, they're separate X-Men. The timelines suck, but the movies themselves and specifically this one are solid.

Why do people just completely ignore film credit soundtracks... I just don't get it, to miss so much of what makes some films. This 1 in particular, after 2 decades of that character, through so much suffering & trying to die, finally they let us have it. The credit music is part of it. I jsut do not get it, as soon as the credit music comes up, nup done by by, like, No, what. This movie is rated R, that's why there's so much heavy language in it. The director wanted to write a more adult appropriate movie and not one for kids. I love this given how most of us were kids when Hugh first portrayed wolverine in the first X-Men and by the time this movie came out most of us were adults. It was the better choice I feel like. Also it fits with wolverines characteristics more. He is an animal and pure savage and with an R rating they didn't have to hold back on the killing.

I was 10 years old when the first XMEN movie released and 27 when Logan released. I never had much experience with the comics and only knew Hugh as Wolverine. So, when I saw this in theaters, I felt like I had lost somebody. The audience was either quiet or crying. NOBODY can fill Hughs shoes as Wolverine. Also I'll add that this is an adaptation of the "Old Man Logan" comics, but movie wolverine is WAY underpowered compared to comics wolverine. In the comics the dude can regen from a single blood cell.

You know what... I think I'm going to skip this reaction... Now before people throw stones at me in the comments let me explain why... I did not like this movie when I first seen it along time ago... If you are still reading, then thank you for your patience in still letting me explain why I didn't... Ok... The first 3 X-Men movies was (when you think about it) garbage because they mostly died in 2 & 3... How are you going to kill off cyclops, jean, the professor, and take away rogues powers? While we are on the subject they never did explain HOW they got their powers back. Eric and Charles just popped up in front of Logan like "We need your help" thinking dude was powerless, and the other was dead 😂 I got off topic sorry... Anyway after rewatching these movies with Leo I see they corrected some mistakes they made in the first class X movies from the old ones and that includes bringing everyone back to life..... Now then Apocalypse comes out... Before it came out I was VERY excited, because the OG team was ALIVE again, and if you grew up on the 90's X-Men cartoons you could understand my not being able to wait to see them all face him. We had Beast back, Rogue, ice man, Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, Storm, The Professor! Everyone alive and Apocalypse was their most powerful enemy ever! Yet they had their younger selves face him instead!? The ONLY good thing about that movie (as entertaining as it was watching it a 2nd time) is that it was closer to wolverines dreams of getting his claws and escaping compared to "Wolverine X-Men's origins". That's what I mean by correcting some things. Now we get to Logan... The professor has a seizure or something, and KILLS everyone. Only him, and Logan survives?? So wait, wait, wait.... You mean I had to sit through 12 movies to wait for you to bring the OG cast alive again ONLY to KILL them off again WITHOUT any screentime!? Oh... Hell... No... So I've come to the conclusion that the X-Men movies suck... Especially this one. This is all (Respectfully) in my opinion though I'll see you all in Dark Phoenix, because that's one I haven't seen yet. By the way have you guys noticed that almost every game of thrones actor been in these marvel movies? 😅 ✌🏾
