Added 2022-11-12 15:29:44 +0000 UTCWell, the Deity shotgun mike saved my ass on the recent filming trip to Warren, MI, as the Sarmonics I’ve been using for years failed me yet again. I must assume a hardware fault at this point. So, time to put the Patreon money to even more capital asset use. Video chap I work with at Wargaming recommended the Rodes, plus it seems they also have an internal record facility in addition to transmit as a further backup.
Here’s hoping you’ll see a return to consistent audio in releases in a few months (I’ve a backlog of filmed trips to go through yet).
Incidentally, I can attest that crawling in/out of tanks results in high hardware attrition.
