Current client of traditional therapist, that I pay for out of pocket. Recovering addict and alcohol, and man plainly tired of the traditional blanket approach to MH treatment. This is genuinely something I would love to participate in. I've been struggling to get my life together as a 23 year old just out of college. I made decisions in life that have put me in a position that constantly makes me anxious and unsatisfied. I've tried to get my immediate friends together to rally in order to make our lives better, but I can get at max one that's still on the fence. I'd love a group of guys that are into this podcast to try to improve our lives and the lives around us.

Phenomenal idea bro. There's something inherently weird about traditional therapy. I would feel it as a patient and even as a Psych student in college; it just feels disingenuous paying someone an exorbitant amount of money to listen to your problems. As a dawg whose insurance doesn't cover counseling, I was able to get over some anxiety issues by talking to other fellow dawgs a while ago. Can't wait to see what comes from this, and would love to be a guinea pig in this experiment.

I was in something similar before. Typically they're called "Master Mind Groups". I was in some for business, some for self help/self improvement, some for "Pick up artist" and was a coach for a company "Real Social Dynamics". What you're describing is VERY beneficial not just in a therapy aspect but for anyone wanting to grow and reach goals in their life to have a supportive group like this. I'm 100% down for the cause
