They really have gotten soft and complacent, dealing with just wizards since being drop-kicked from the Underworld "You're in Violation of the Magical Generva Convention" Serafall "That's nice, tell someone who cares" It kind of makes sense that Devils would make good bankers; their deals may skew in their favour, but they are clear on their terms, and keep their word in their deals.

Honestly, considering the legends of each species, not that astonishing. Devils are known for keeping their bargains. Taking advantage of the other parties desperation or ignorance for a better deal? Absolutely. Use clever wordplay so they follow the letter of the deal while taking the spirit of it out back and shooting it? Without a doubt. Deals with devils may be known to be a foolish move, but few stories have them outright breaking the deal. Goblins on the other hand, are generally known for lying, theft and backstabbing for immediate gain, with no consideration for long-term benefits. Honestly, I'd trust a bank run by devils over one run by goblins any day.
