The Supe Devil 11

Chapter 11:

– Marcus –

I never liked Devil Contracts. They felt slow, cheap, and borderline pathetic as a means to power. But even I couldn’t deny how convenient they were when it came to stacking cash or squeezing favors from humans who thought they could buy their way into a better life. My mother, Serafall, insisted that I fulfill at least one contract a month. She said it was tradition and, even more annoyingly, good for our family’s status. I didn’t argue, Serafall was stubborn as hell, and she always won.

Today, that annoying tug of a summoning reached me, a reminder that some poor, desperate soul had managed to get their hands on my summoning flier this time. I answered the pull, teleporting into the room without much thought.

The instant I appeared, I regretted it.

I ended up in what could only be described as the wasteland of adolescence. The bedroom was a disaster zone, reeking of sweat, junk food, and that unmistakable stench of puberty. Fast-food wrappers, soda cans, and used socks. The smell was horrific, and I already wanted to leave…

“Holy shit, it actually worked!” The kid who summoned me practically screeched. He was chubby, with a face full of angry pimples. His greasy hair was stuck to his forehead, and his wide eyes glistened with excitement.

I’d thrown up a minor illusion, making sure I wouldn’t be recognized. The last thing I needed was this sweaty kid plastering my face online, exposing me the son of Homelander as a Devil.

“Yes, I am a devil of House Sitri from the underworld,” I said, fighting the urge to roll my eyes straight out of my head. “What is your wish, human?”

“Can you make me more handsome? I want all the bitches at school to flock to me!”

I exhaled, feeling the weight of my patience straining. “Sure, I can. But it’ll only last as long as you keep a proper diet and exercise regimen,” I said, already predicting where this was going.

His grin evaporated. “Oh, man, I hate exercising. I really just like playing video games and lazing around all day.”

This was going nowhere fast. Part of me wanted to snap my fingers, erase the summoning flier, and head back to anything more interesting. But I was already here, so I might as well make this worthwhile. “Do you have any other desires?” I asked, my tone flat. I already knew what was coming next. It was always the same. There was really only another thing he was going to ask for…

“Can you make my penis bigger!?”

“...Yes…” I said. “That’ll cost you $100,000.”

The kid sputtered. “I don’t have that kind of money! I’m only 16!”

“That’s okay,” I said, keeping my face as professional as I could. “You can pay in installments, and I can even write it into the contract that you don’t have to start paying until after you turn 18…”

His mouth stretched into a grin. “Hell yeah! That’s what I’m talking about!” He lifted his hand for a high five, but I didn’t budge. The smell alone told me where that hand had probably been recently…

Instead, I reached into my magical storage and pulled out a standard contract, the enchanted parchment unrolling in the air between us. He didn’t even bother to read it. If he had, he might have paused before scrawling his name on the dotted line.

He would have to pay $5000 a month, every month, once he was 18, for a total payment of $300,000… Of course there was interest for a delayed payment.

And if he missed a single payment, he’d be dragged into the underworld to work off his debt. Considering the underworld didn’t have minimum wage laws, he’d be there the rest of his mortal life. If he was lucky, he’d end up an indentured servant for the Sitri family. But this kid didn't look like he had anything of value to offer, so it was more likely he would just be sold off as a slave to work in the mines.

Was that all kinds of fucked up? Yes, yes it was. I came from a family of devils. We were nice devils, but we were still devils.

With a grimace, I pointed my hand at his crotch, casting the spell. “Congratulations,” I said, sarcasm dripping from my voice, “you now have an extra three inches.”

“Fuck yeah! A whole four inches! Nobody will be calling me ‘Mikey micropenis’ anymore in the locker room!” He jumped up and down in excitement. “You’re the best, Mr Devil! I’m going to tell all my friends about you!”

“Please don’t…” I muttered as I felt the teleportation spell activate. Light engulfed me, and the sight and smell of that room faded away.

I landed back in my apartment, feeling the tension ease from my shoulders. Annie was sprawled out on the couch in a position that made her look very enticing. She was stunning and she was mine.

“You weren't gone very long,” she said with a smirk.

“I just dealt with the future of humanity. You're all fucked,” I replied, walking over to her and sinking down onto the couch, pulling her into my lap.

Annie let out a cute little squeak as I pulled her onto my lap. The squeaks turned into soft moans as I kissed her neck, tasting her skin while my hands roamed over the curves of her body, sliding up and down over her clothes. I could feel her pressing against me, her breathing deepening as her hips started to move with a slow, teasing rhythm.

“That feels good, Marcus,” she said, a breathless whisper that was starting to drive me crazy. Her body was warm against mine, and I was about ready to lose myself in her. But, of course, the universe had other plans.

The floor in the middle of the living room lit up in a bright, electric blue, forming a familiar magic circle. I barely had time to process what was happening before Serafall Leviathan made her grand entrance.

“Miracle girl Levia-tan is here!” she announced, striking a pose with her pink, glittery wand raised high. The wand looked like a cheap toy you’d find at a kid’s store, but I knew better. That thing was a powerhouse of magical focus, crafted by Ajuka himself.

Annie practically leapt off my lap, her eyes wide as she stood up and tried to fix her hair and smooth out the wrinkles in her clothes. The flustered look on her face was adorable, but the interruption was anything but welcome.

“Aw, did I just cock block you?” Serafall said with a smirk, glancing at the very obvious bulge in my pants. She stuck her tongue out playfully and bopped herself on the side of the head. “Teehee, my bad!”

Annie’s eyes darted between me and Serafall, her expression shifting from shock to confusion. “Marcus, who is this woman!?”

I sighed. “Annie, I’d like you to meet my mother, Serafall Leviathan. And, Mom, this is my newest girlfriend, Annie.”

Before I could even blink, Serafall rushed forward, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she stood right in front of Annie, sizing her up from head to toe. “So, you’re the latest girl my bad boy of a son has seduced, huh? I have to say, you’re very pretty. Are you going to be joining his peerage soon?”

“I’m still thinking about it…” Annie replied automatically, her voice trailing off as realization hit her. Her mouth fell open, and she glanced between Serafall and me, disbelief written all over her face. “Wait a minute, this is your mother!? She looks like your twin sister!”

Serafall’s grin widened, and she practically glowed with pride. “I like you!” she said, clearly delighted.

– Serafall –

Serafall Leviathan hadn’t seen her son in what she dramatically declared a super duper long time, and that was simply not acceptable. She’d spent too many days trapped behind a desk, drowning in paperwork that she swore multiplied whenever she blinked. Today, she’d had enough. With a flourish of her hand, she obliterated the mountain of papers into a sparkling cloud of dust, a wicked grin spreading across her face. She could handle the consequences later, or maybe never.

Marcus was more important.

Without any more delays, she teleported herself into his apartment.

“Why is your apartment so small, Marcus? This is unacceptable living conditions for my son!” she declared, crossing her arms in annoyance.

Marcus ran a hand through his messy black hair. She could tell he was trying to mask his irritation, but it wasn’t working. Okay, maybe she did feel a little bad about cock blocking him, but how was she supposed to know!? Send a text? Call ahead? What kind of plebeian did people take her for? She was Serafall Leviathan! It was practically her job to show up dramatically and unannounced at all opportunities!

“It’s just temporary, Mom,” he said. “Why are you really here?”

Serafall pushed out her lower lip in an exaggerated pout, trying to look as innocent as possible. “Okay, fine. Maybe I’m also here because a certain son of mine decided to kidnap the only living saintess from the Vatican and then got attacked by fallen angels right after.”

Marcus scoffed, leaning back into the couch. “I wouldn’t have called it much of an attack.”

Annie, who had been lingering near the kitchen, shot him a sharp look and stepped forward. “I would,” she said, her tone edged with frustration. “I almost freaking died from that laser spear. And, by the way, the new friend I made didn’t survive!”

Serafall’s eyes narrowed, her playful demeanor replaced by something sharper. “Wait a minute, the fallen angels killed an innocent person? I didn’t hear that part yet.”

“Not only did they kill an innocent person,” Marcus said, his voice cold and matter-of-fact, “they did it in front of dozens of witnesses and probably a bunch of cameras. Azazel’s going to have a hell of a time clearing up this mess.”

Serafall took a moment to let the weight of that sink in. Her mind started to spin with the political advantage this could give her. She could already picture the deals and concessions she could wring out of this disaster. A giggle bubbled up as she thought of all the ways she could use this. But before she got ahead of herself, there was one thing she wanted, the fallen angel responsible.

“I’d like to take the surviving fallen angel into custody,” she said, the gleam in her eyes turning serious.

“That might be a bit difficult. Raynare’s locked up, kept sedated around the clock in one of Vought’s thickest cells. The only way you’re getting to her is an obvious breakout or convincing Stan Edgar himself. That would mean exposing him to our world,” her son explained.

Annie, who had been silently absorbing all of this, looked confused. “Is that really a big deal?” she asked.

Serafall frowned. “We just have to be careful when we approach powerful human leaders! The last thing we want is them panicking and then all of a sudden the nukes are flying all over the place!”

Marcus's latest girlfriend paled at that statement. “Don't worry Annie, it won't come to that,” Marcus said reassuringly. Marcus was a good boyfriend though and wrapped her in a one-armed hug, pulling her close to his body. Serafall pouted. Naturally, she was jealous… She wanted to hug him too!

– Marcus –

“Don’t worry, son. I have a plan,” my mother told me.

I was doing my best to not bust out laughing at the absurd scene in front of me.

“The Miracle-Girl Levia-tan is here! Hand over your prisoner or face my wrath!” Serafall announced, pointing her glittery pink wand at Stan Edgar’s face. He sat behind his massive desk, barely reacting.

Stan Edgar slowly turned to me, one eyebrow raised so high it practically touched his hairline. “Marcus, why is there a random cosplayer waving a stick at me in my office? I’m busy enough managing morons and playing politics without whatever this is.”

“This is my mother...” I told him while covering my mouth to hide my laughter.

His jaw tightened at that, and surprise flickered in his eyes. “The woman who kept Homelander’s son hidden away for nearly two decades?” He turned his glare to Serafall. “Where have you been?”

Serafall tilted her chin up and smirked. “Managing the idiot devils of the underworld and stopping the apocalypse on a daily basis!” She looked almost too proud of herself. Stan didn’t even bother hiding the disbelief on his face.

The office doors burst open with a loud bang!

Homelander stormed in, eyes already glowing with fury, taking in the scene in an instant. His gaze locked on Serafall, who looked amused by his sudden entrance.

“You! We need to talk. You kept my son from me for 19 years!” His voice filled the room.

Serafall didn’t look the least bit intimidated. She simply tilted her head to the side and smiled. “Hi, John! I missed you. You look good.”

Homelander’s glowing eyes dimmed slightly, confusion crossing his features. “I know I look good. I’m currently the top trending search when you Google ‘DILF.’”

“What?” I said.

“What?” Stan echoed.

Homelander wasn’t done. He stalked up to Serafall, grabbing her shoulder hard enough that the muscles in his forearm tensed. His face tightened when he realized she wasn’t fazed. He was strong, but not strong enough to actually hurt her. “You’d better have a damn good reason for keeping my son away from me,” he growled.

Serafall pouted, batting her lashes at him. “I did have a super duper good reason, John! But I’ll explain it after I finish talking to the grumpy pants over here.” She pointed her wand at Stan, who muttered the words “grumpy pants” in disbelief, as if trying to process that an adult had just called him that.

“Don’t you dare ignore me, you—”

Before Homelander could finish, Serafall’s eyes glowed a bright, icy blue, and the temperature in the room dropped so suddenly that I could see my breath. A thick block of magical ice encased Homelander, freezing him mid-sentence. The expression on his face was one of pure shock, mouth still open as the frost solidified around him.

Stan Edgar stood up so fast his chair rolled back. “What the hell?!”

Homelander’s eyes still glowed behind the ice, and I could see tiny cracks forming as he used all his strength to break free. But Serafall’s ice was reinforced with magic that wouldn’t budge until she allowed it.

Serafall turned back to Stan, the playful sparkle gone from her eyes. “Now, where were we? Ah, right. You were about to hand over your prisoner, Raynare, to me.”

Stan’s jaw clenched, but I could see the tension in his posture. He was scared, even if he tried to hide it behind a calm mask. He adjusted his tie nervously. “No,” he finally said. “We’re interested in studying her. Her powers didn’t come from Vought, and that makes her... valuable to us.”

The room went silent, a silence that stretched out for almost half a minute. Serafall didn’t blink as she stared Stan Edgar down. I let out a whistle as he stared right back at her, although I could hear his heart pounding with my enhanced senses.

Finally, she tilted her head and nodded, almost as if she were impressed. “You’ve got backbone. I like that. But unfortunately for you, Raynare has to be handed over to my custody. Unless you want a small army of fallen angels storming this building in the next couple of hours for a rescue mission.”

“What…?” He said once again.

It was a family reunion. The three of us sat around the table on the top floor of The Seven’s tower.

Homelander still had some frost crystals clinging to his hair, and he was staring at my mother, Serafall, like she’d just slapped him across the face. To be fair, she kind of had—in a magical, icy way.

“I’m so glad to see you again, John,” my mom said, shamelessly perched on Homelander’s lap, rubbing her hand up and down his chest. “You know, I haven’t been with any other man since you…”

“Too much information, Mom,” I blurted out.

She just giggled and stuck her tongue out at me. She turned her attention back to Homelander, who was trying to look unfazed, but the tension in his jaw said otherwise.

“So, you’re the most powerful woman in the Underworld, huh?” Homelander asked, half surprised and half pissed. I could see how much it stung him that she’d taken him down so easily. His pride was probably in tatters, especially since he’d obliterated that Fallen Angel like it was nothing.

What was his name again? Something with a D? Meh, who cares…

“Yep!” Serafall chirped, eyes sparkling with pride. “Not only that, but I’m also the most beautiful, famous, and richest. Aren’t I an amazing catch?” She leaned closer to him, eyes glowing as she whispered, “Don’t you want to forget all those negative feelings you have towards me, take me into the back room, pull down your pants, and fuck me like there’s no tomorrow?”

Bang! Bang! BANG!

I started slamming my head on the table. The wood cracked under each hit, my face imprinted like some cursed art piece. Why was my mother like this!?

Homelander’s mouth dropped open, completely stunned by her audacity. That expression didn’t last long, though, because she took advantage of his momentary shock and planted a kiss on his cheek. “Well?”

“I have to admit,” Homelander said with a gulp, “it is really hard to stay mad at a woman like you…”

“Yay!” Serafall squealed, clapping her hands. She glanced back at me and winked. “Marcus, you should leave now. Things are about to get a little naughty up in here.”

She didn’t have to tell me twice. “Thank god!” I declared, not even giving a shit at the stinging pain that came with that world. I stood up so fast my chair tipped backward, and I didn’t bother picking it up. I was ready to sprint out of there.

But just as I reached the door, The Deep walked in, looking clueless as ever. “Hey, Homelander. Marcus. Have either of you seen Translucent? We were supposed to hang out earlier, but he never showed up. He’s not answering any of his calls either.” The dude could not read a room to save his life…

Homelander and Serafall both shot him looks so dark I thought he might actually drop dead. I decided to spare the guy and grabbed him by the shoulders, spinning him around and dragging him out of the room.

“What was that about?” The Deep asked as the steel doors slammed shut behind us.

“My parents are about to get reacquainted,” I said, not slowing down and marching down the hall. “And I need to be far enough away that my super hearing doesn’t pick up any of it.”

Once we were in the elevator, I looked at The Deep. “So, what’s going on with Translucent?

“He’s missing, man!”

“Did you check the club?” We both knew which club I meant.

“Yeah, man, that was the first place I called. He hasn’t been there in days….” The Deep’s eyes clouded with worry. “I tried calling everyone, even his kid can’t get ahold of him.”

He had a kid? Huh, I didn’t remember that from my past memories. Then again, it has been 19 years and Translucent was a minor character who got killed…right after Annie joined the Seven…

“Fuck!” I declared in realization. “We gotta find him fast!” I couldn’t lose one of my best drinking buddies like that!
