Hey everyone!

I've started working on the new set! I'm gonna be honest. I've burned out a little creating the last collection because many things didn't work out how I wanted. I was a little discouraged and couldn't find the motivation to start thinking what would I create next.

As I was browsing Pinterest as one do when they want some inspiration I came across a home tour post which featured a beatiful LA house with warm colors and minimal style but a slight South-American vibe. So I decided to use that as an inspiration and maybe create the whole house's furniture or parts of it.

The first item I was excited to make was this chair by Cristian Valdés who is a chilean architect and designer. I fell in love with this chair immediately! It's minimal and modern yet inviting and has a warm flair to it which I tend to look for in furniture. I like that it's not too simple but simple enough so it's not too much. :D All in all I really enjoyed making this and I'm glad I could bring back my motivation with this. I will focus on less items but more quality this time to avoid the burn out.

Thank you! I really like his furniture designs I definitely want to make his first chair too.

Amazing! I can't believe I just missed this! I always hoped for someone to make Cristián Valdés furniture & I hope you do more in the future. I've been loving what you have been releasing lately, stuff we haven't seen before, but take your time if you need to!

Thank you for you lovely comment! I'm still struggling a little a find a perfect balance how chunky an object should be to classify as Maxis match but not be too cartoony because I don't like that. And thanks for your kind approach, sometimes there is a pressure but after last month I'm rather doing less but better than more but worse quality. This way I can really enjoy every step of the process and you all get better content.

I love the amount of detail you added while still keeping it MaxisMatch. Looking forward to this set! On the subject of being burned out. Never feel that you have to release a set every month, because me personally (and most of us I think) rather see something created with heart and soul than out of pressure.
