Beta 0.2.0 Download Links
Added 2019-02-16 02:02:29 +0000 UTCHi friends, I'm very excited to say welcome to Beta testing!
While Foundry Virtual Tabletop is not yet feature complete, which for some software and games is a typical prerequisite for more widespread beta testing, I believe that the core of the software I have built is at a level where I want to involve more testers in the process and increase the scope of collected feedback.
It is, therefore, with considerable enthusiasm that I welcome all the Patreon supporters at the beta tier levels into the testing group and invite you all to test Foundry Virtual Tabletop starting with version 0.2.0 which is available for download below.

For those of you who have been engaged in the Alpha testing process, build 0.2.0 is essentially the same as 0.1.7, but with the addition of a few miscellaneous bug fixes.
Thank you all for your continued help, enthusiasm, feedback, and support. Please keep an eye on the development progress board here for visibility into what features are in progress and coming up next! https://gitlab.com/foundrynet/foundryvtt/boards
Download Links
Below are download link locations for Beta version 0.2.0 Please do not share these links with anyone and help protect the exclusivity of your patronage!
Mac: I am still struggling with some build issues related to the OSX native application, which is not yet available for this first wave of beta testing. As a mac user, if you want to start testing immediately, please use the Linux build hosted with node.js directly. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.
Getting Started Recommendations
At this early stage of beta clear documentation is still a work in progress, however, I recommend any new testers to please review the following documentation pages which can help address common questions when getting set up with FVTT.
Hosting and Connectivity: http://foundryvtt.com/pages/hosting.html
Getting Started Tutorial: http://foundryvtt.com/pages/tutorial.html
In addition to reviewing that material please consider the following advice:
Please Do:
- Share your feedback on Discord or by sending me a message on Patreon.
- Feel free to talk about, invite players to join, stream, or record video of Foundry Virtual Tabletop. There is no NDA.
- Feel free to invite interested players to join your game for test sessions. Please do provide a bit of context to your players and explain that the software is in the early phases of Beta testing.
- Please periodically back-up your World file and any other critical data you create using FVTT, just in case something breaks.
Please Do NOT:
- Share the above download links or the downloaded files with others. Help protect the privilege of your supporter tier!
- Expect a guarantee of a completely bug-free experience during the early phases of Beta testing.
- Hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, comments, feedback, or concerns!
I would like to close by reiterating my very sincere thanks for your support and I hope you enjoy getting your first look at Foundry Virtual Tabletop. I look forward to seeing what you create and discussing the experience with you in Discord!
Best,
Andrew
