[Video] Create Amazing Materials from Simple Images in Blender!

Hi Patrons!
I've just released a video where I demonstrate a way that you can create visually-complex materials from simple non-seamless textures by making creative use of procedural scattering techniques along with ambient occlusion / edge detection masks.
This technique is great for quickly building up a library of visually-distinctive materials that will adapt to the shape of the object.
An important part of this technique is the removal of tiling artifacts from input textures. In this video, I will use the paid Scattershot addon by Jonathan Lampel (CG Cookie), however there are free alternatives available as well. In addition to this, Jonathan has also created a 1+ hour video explaining the concepts behind procedural texture scattering.
Have a great day!
