──  Does it mean you enjoyed playing with your friends in your leisure time, rather than just playing games?

Miura:
It was like that at first. However, being a mangaka, my leisure time was too limited. *laughs*

I got to like Action RPGs owing to Zelda, but after that I'd say I was absorbed in Simulation RPGs. For action (games), I got tired sometime after playing them. So I think Simulation RPGs were perfect for me because I could play them little by little in my free time, like chess.

── The Simulation RPG (you played), was it "Fire Emblem"?

Miura:
No, it’s "Vandal Hearts" that I was absorbed in at first. The contents were complicated so it seemed like a game suitable for adults. Things like the domestic affairs of a country or what the opposing country would be like during a war were well-made in minute detail. "This isn't a childish trick" ─ I was tricked into thinking that. *laughs*

After having enjoyed playing that very much, the game I became absorbed in was "Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen". It was unusual in that we could make our own troops and make them move forward, and they would fight on their own when they clashed (with an enemy), which really left an impression on me.

Other than that, I played "Sakura Wars" or Gal games once in a while.

Hashino: In our industry, some people say you've been playing "Idolmaster" a lot. *laughs*

Miura: About Idolmaster, it's embarrassing that it became famous because I talked about it myself. *laughs* However, I only played the first "Idolmaster".
