After Show: Horsez.

This game brings up some memories. It was in the late 2000's, when i was in my early 20's, i moved from far east Russia to Germany for work. And i suddenly was able to afford modern things. I bought a Nintendo DS lite for my 10 year younger sister, which was still living in Russia. I bought her "catz" and "dogz" for the DS, because the box art looked funny. I didn't know anything about video games, because i didn't have had any until i moved to Germany. My sister did like the games, but i think it was mostly, because she didn't know any other ones yet.

I used to have another game in this series, Dogz. That one was pretty fun. It had you take care of a little pupper. Quite cute. Kinda like nintendogs.

DS games Downscaled for GBA were terrible... this was not a one off. I had family members I know spent real money on GBA games for me... straight in the bin. Pirates of the Caribbean... seemed okay for a few hours until i saw the DS version and went back to pokemon.

As a "horse girl" when I was little what I wanted was a game where you rode a horse and went on sick adventures and had mounted combat I.E shadow of the colossus. What I got was Horsez :c

This game was part of a... series? Collection? Franchise? With other games based around specific pets. I had Catz for the GBA as a kid, which was kind of like a digital board game with slice of life minigames and a collection aspect, if I remember correctly. I have no evidence to back this up but I really think that entire collection of games was a bunch of reskins of Japanese games localised to English and sold in a set.

The crazy thing, is that Horsez on the GBA is completely different story and completely different mechanics than the Horsez on PC. Horsez on PC is actually a lot of fun, but hard to find these days.

The "Seal of Quality" basically only means, 1. the publisher gave Nintendo money, 2. there's no curse words (or even semi-)nudity in it, 3. it's possible to load and get in to the first level of the game, and 4. violence is ok as long as there's no blood (kids can't handle people swearing, everyone knows that it makes sense to limit swearing to 15(/18)+ year old babies, but allow violence for zero to three sad onions)

Tim Rogers has said that every game needs at least two modes. In Pacman it was chase or be chased. The three modes appear to be tedious movement, tedious movement on a horse, or tedious menus.

I have a GBA. I bought it a week ago and it arrived yesterday. It has an IPS screen modded in it because the original screen sucked. The IPS one looks really nice, now to wait for my EZ-Flash flashcard to arrive so I can play this dingus.
