Yup. Kaiki, told ya at the beginning of Koimonogatari that parts of his story would be false, and he narrated the whole thing. So the scene with his 'death' could very well be a lie. Anyways, just a reminder, no spoilers: remember the ending of Onimonogatari? You know, the one where a blob darkness comes to take Mayoi because she is lying about her own existence? Here is a quote from Ougi near the end: "It's work as commonplace as the overwhelming darkness that comprises most of this world. ... If I had to be specific, I guess my job involves punishing liars". Maybe think about that a bit more. Also, eat meat. Meat meat. More meat. Kaiki has the right idea.
