It would be easy to buy into the story of the Holstaur as loyal vassals to High Forest- but the truth is, as ever, more complex. The Holstauri are pampered slaves, bred and indoctrinated into lives of service. Their Princess currently lives in captivity, held by the Band of the Moon. These stalwart protectors believe themselves to be benign patrons to a simple Princess but fail to give the Holstauri and their Princess due consideration. Their people have lived under Human rule for so long that their very bodies have been shaped for servitude. Will they be able to free themselves or will they live as chattel?
