A Part, Apart - off to the printer's

Hello friends,

This is a post to let you know that I have just finished uploading all of the files for the May minicomic, A Part, Apart, to the printer's. According to the Mixam website, I should receive copies back on June 2nd, at which point I will start sending print issues out to physical Minicomic Club members. After those are all safely off in the mail, I will distribute the link to download the PDF. Sometimes books arrive at my house sooner than the estimated ship dates, but I am thinking that's unlikely this month given the Memorial Day holiday.

I am calling this issue a companion to the new middle-grade graphic novel I'm THISCLOSE to finally finishing. It contains two complete cartoon essays, both of which directly inspired the story I'm telling in the new book. Obviously none of you have had the chance yet to read my new book (it's due out exactly one year from yesterday), so you may need to wait a while to see how the material in this companion connects, but I think once both things are available and out there in the world, the two different comics will complement each other nicely. This companion comic is a little bigger issue than usual, 24 pages, full color, which I hope makes up for the fact that I'm running behind late production-wise.

STICKERS!

I've been meaning to start putting together stickers to drop inside the envelopes for physical club members, so as another way of making things right in terms of this comic going out late, the above vinyl die-cut sticker will also arrive in the package.

This is a sticker my son wanted me to make for him, it comes from his very favorite animated YouTube show, The Battle for Dream Island. He wants to film himself sticking it on various things for his own YouTube BFDI fan-channel, so I figured, why not make enough of them to send out to my supporters here, as a nice little extra?
