How I've Entered Abandoned Places (In Mexico) [BTS 5]

So I've been doing urban exploring (or urbex) all over the world. However, how you go about finding, entering, and filming those unique locations is different in Mexico.

This week I break down the secrets I have learned for urbex in Mexico and take you step-by-step on what to look for and do.

Have you ever done urbex or would you even consider it? Let me know!

It's definitely cool learning about local legends. I don't chase the abandoned locations just for the spooky stories, but if they also have stunning visuals that would make a good story regardless of what may or may not "appear," it catches my attention more. :)

I really love these stories, Mike! I'd always wondered how you got into some of the abandoned places you've explored, but wasn't sure if it was OK to ask. Your Ghost Palace Hotel video in Bali is another of my favorites of yours. Such a beautiful place! I've never done urbex, but I know of one place in my area that might be cool to look at one day. Not sure if it counts as urbex, but there's a cemetery in suburban Chicago called Bachelor's Grove that is very famous because it's said to be one of the most haunted places in America. Supposedly a lot of the old-time Chicago gangsters, including Al Capone, did lots of nefarious things there back in the day, including dumping bodies of victims in the nearby lagoon, and cults are said to have held ritualistic ceremonies there in the 1960s. For decades, people have reported seeing ghost lights in the cemetery at night, a white farmhouse that vanishes when you try to get close to it (I kid you not!), and even old-timey "ghost cars" that appear and disappear along a stretch of turnpike that runs near the cemetery. Not saying I'd ever go there, but it's kinda cool to know that a place with such a strange, scary, and rich history exists so close to where I live. Would you ever check out a place like that?
