[Mod]'Rambunctious Religions' - Sims 4

idk if this is a bug or intended but the mod page doesn't seem to say anything about it (unless i missed something, sorry if so) but I'm unable to get teen sims initiated into any religion. no matter how many times they attended book studies and gatherings, and no matter how high their religion skill was, the "get initiated" option remained greyed out. i opened the mod in s4studio and noticed that the traits "hasattendedbookstudy", "baptized" and "hasattendedgathering" are only enabled for YA, Adult and Elder sims. i would try editing them myself but I'm not that confident in my coding abilities and don't want to wreck the rest of the mod, so i hope you'll consider changing this in future. it's kinda weird playing historical saves where teen sims can't be properly involved in any religion lol. otherwise love the mod! thank you <3

Stupid question but is this compatible with other mods like expanded fairy and witches mod? I do have it in my game but I do wonder if I should take it out since I am already a witch in the game and I know one of the religions in this game is somewhat relevant to that type of belief system.

Love this mod as it adds more depth and personality to my sims families and worlds. I have a suggestion for if you have a chance to work on this again- i think it would be really cool to be able to control the religions that sims have based on the worlds they come from/live in similar to the way it is done with Frankk's language barriers mod. With a settings file like the one in that mod we would able to select a major religion or religions that the majority of sims from that world would have and also some religions that a few sims from that world would have. I think it would work really well with all of the mods that are helping the sims worlds feel more culturally rich like language barriers and kuttoe's regions mods. No pressure at all of course and I really appreciate this mod as it is! Thank you for all you do.

Help! I got this mod but I don't know how to get promoted in the "religious official" career. My sim went to work in a great mood, and his performance was excellent and the little checkmark turned yellow that usually means he'll have been promoted when he comes home... but he never is. One of his career tasks is to attend a religious gathering, but no matter how many times I send him, he never gets credit. I don't know if that's the problem? He's supposed to reach the top of his career and be the pastor for my sim world, so I really want to figure this out

Heya, they absolutely used to all sit down and not move until the event is over. They are coded to do that. I haven't tried it in a long time but it would be abnormal for them not to do that. Do you have any mods impacting autonomy and or event npc's?

So I've been playing with this mod for the first time over the past couple of days and my only complaint is actually a game complaint. I hate how none of the sims will sit tf down while the "preacher" is giving a sermon (and also don't sit down for speeches in general). If it's possible, it'd be really cool if you could integrate the "Take Your Seats" interaction from My Wedding Stories so that the "congregation" would sit down for the sermon.

So i thought that you added cult of the cowplant simply for funsies and lightheartedness, on the account of cowplants being iconic - but little did i know that cult of the cowplants actually existed in sims 2 psp! it was called kine society :)

when i clock on the holy book to discover religion it doesn't let me sim do it it just rests the sim .. is there any mod that conflicts with it ..

My Sim can't get initiated until they attend a book study, I can't find that option. They've been to several Study Groups. They are a teen

Make sure you don't use onedrive for your mods, that mods and scripts are on, that files are max. one subfolder in mods folder, that the stuff is extracted from its archive and not in the zip file it downloads as, and that's really it. No reason for it to not work if all this is correct.... just odd

And both the package and script? That is really all beyond my understanding. I just tried myself and typing 'holy' in the search bar in build buy brings it right up in the suggestions over the search bar

I'm having some issues. I've had my sim go to the book study like 5 times and I still can't get initiated. My sim is a teen, so does that cause an issue? I don't know why my sim can't initiate.

That's nice. For future reference - my TOUs require contacting me and asking before integrating stuff from my mods in another released mod. I have never said no so far, but I simply much prefer to be informed before it's a done deal. As it happens, I like the idea here, as religious studies are definitely a thing

Buildings are installed differently from mods ; you'd have to extract the files from the building archive and put them in your 'tray' folder instead of mod folder. That's not very well known so it's not your fault! You can also make your own building of course (personally I hate building that's why I attached a prée made haha, figured I'd make it once for all the people out there who are like me 😂)

Hey! Still love the mod. Just having a slight issue with the new version: I can't get initiated despite being at level 2. The option is greys out and it says 'must have attended a book study first' even though I have several times. Am I just missing something? You can check the date on the files you have and look for the most recent one if there are several files for that mod, and then go to the mod page and see if the last update date is the same

You should have only two files, the 'Rambunctious Religions v1.1 - Lumpinou' package and the script of the same name. Is that the case? Something has to be different between you three's game and mine. I also had testers test the new version before putting it here of course and they saw all the text. So, we got to figure out what is different :)

Hello! I'm having the same issues as the two above comments, I even tried testing the mod by itself and the missing descriptions and events still persist. I can't even select my sims' religions anymore ever since the most recent update. Please let me know if this is fixable, thank you!

That's just plain weird, I don't understand 🤔 text was working just fine so either yesterday's patch broke text which it really should not have at all or something crazy is happening. I will launch the mod again on my side when I can but I am fairly sure it will work as supposed to... Will see and get back to you

Nope. I even reinstalled but put the religious files directly in my mods folder and even that didn’t work it was still just pics no wording.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah game is up to date (apart from today’s patch I haven’t got that yet) I did re-download it after that. As far as I know I erased old files. What I’ll do is double check after today’s patch thank you once again

Hi! There is no problem with the mod in its updated version in an updated game. The issue you are mentioning is patch related. Is your game up to date? Have you re-downloaded the mod after September 3rd and properly erased old files?

That is very very strange. What else did you do when adding this mod? Is that the only thing that changed? I have seriously never heard of such an issue, related to my own mods or other ones. If you take out your latest save, it works?

So you removed your saves? And upon putting them back in you have crashes? I would say leave your cc and moss out a little longer, and check each of your saves... I don't know what your issue is but it sounds like putting the saves back in may have done it ie one of your saves has something. When you say 'crash' what do you mean exactly?

I have never heard of that... Strange. Is everything up to date? Does it keep crashing without this mod? If you take it out? And if it doesn't crash after, if you put if back, does it start again? This mod has been out a good while and it's the first I hear of game crashes but no thing's impossible. Is your game up to date?

I found this after Fantayzia was promoting your WooHoo Wellness mod and I am excited. I am having issues accessing discord so hoping you might see this here. I am not able to locate the religious building in my Library. I did put the files, not the folder, directly into my Tray. I actually went through this step a few times to ensure I wasn't doing something wrong and it still isn't there. So here is a question...if I have a church and make it a generic lot with a podium or microphone can I use it for the religious gatherings?
