Happy Father's day :) (This episode was aired on Father's day) About what Paul said, he failed to save his mom when he was a kid (she was very ill and they couldn't find a doctor who could do something about it) and his dad blamed him for it, so yeah ... trauma :)

After the events here and what takes place before the end of season he has accepted Paul as his father and has decided to fully live this life. I think he has finally moved on and so that will be reflected in his mental self when he see's man-god next.
