Love the kou love, he's my absolute favourite in this series. I have a theory about the family murder suicide as well and it's based off this arc and early flashbacks to the Yugi brothers. In episode 8 of season 1, there's a flash of amane knelt over tsukasa with the knife he carries with him in the afterlife. He is shaken looking. And there's also the fact that there are unexplained injuries on amane in episode 6 and 9 in the flashbacks. It makes me wonder if tsukasa was the culprit. And if the mom already thought the kid was not her real child, she probably wouldn't take well to that fake child hurting her real son. I think the parents might have had a confrontation with tsukasa. Maybe he snapped. I don't see amane killing their parents, but I can see him attacking tsukasa if tsukasa killed them. And yet, that's his family. His twin. I can't help thinking the last to die in that family was Amane. It's such a painful arc. Watching the Red House Arc makes you love tsukasa and it makes me hate that Wish granting entity so much. Especially since it lied. Tsukasa gave up everything and Amane was still haunted by that thing. It makes me so glad that characters like kou, nene, and tiara exist to lighten the mood. Also Teru in this whole mini arc is unhinged and I love him here. I'm not always his biggest fan, but I do feel really bad that this severence is his first break in ages, but because the ones he cares for are miserable with apparitions around, he can't really fully enjoy the peace and quiet.
