2025-08-15 14:13:41 +0000 UTCIn real life , only 3 year old horses can run the classic triple crown. So they only have one try(though aged up here because they're horse humans). It's not the only way to be a great horse, lots of greats didn't win the triple crown. But it's one way. There are alternate triple crowns, like the fillies triple crown (,for women horses) and senior triple crown for older ones. But they aren't as prestigious. Teio, notably, is too young and plans to compete next year. Horses can compete after a leg injury. A number of horses in this show injured a leg and came back to win races. But it is easier to break your leg in a way that necessitates mercy killing than it is for other animals. Luckily it's rare.
