2024 in Review

This year had some unexpected highs, and undesired lows for us. I hope everyone enjoyed the output despite the hiccups.

I believe we had the highest average of posts per month this year (even if they sometimes got all bunched up at the end) Increasing from 2 to 4 sequences every month was definitely a daunting task but I'm glad we did it and I've actually come to find the sequences very fun and relaxing to work on. So they'll be continuing on into next year, we'll reveal the themes at the end of December so as to not distract from the poll going up tomorrow.

Of course the great shader debacle had some negative effects on scheduling and posting. I should have been more transparent with that process as it went on but I kept hoping it would be solved in short order... In the future I will make productions slowdowns like that clear from the start so that everyone can know what to expect.

As for comics, we had our longest comic yet go up this year in Batman Wish-War. Of course it turned out to be a much greater commitment then I realized. However despite the issues the pages for Wish War consistently performed very very well so I hope to have at least 2 comics over 10 pages next year. If things go the way I want them to we should have at least 4 that are 8 pages or more.

And that leads me to how great the community feedback was this year. More likes, more comments, engagement on the Patreon and answers submitted to polls. It means a lot to me to see this response to things and helps me shape The 63 for the future. Whether you took 5 minutes to answer a poll or 2 seconds to click a like I'm really grateful for those interactions!

There are a few things I've considered adding next year. Maybe I'll turn on annual memberships and see how that goes. I'm also considering a couple new support tiers. That said I think we've hit a comfortable level with 2 comics, 4 sequences, and the bonuses, specials and the like. I don't want to double the content again and have the entire thing collapse under its own weight. I'll make a post for any changes before the new year starts if I decide to go ahead with them.
