It was the inhibitor chip that was mentioned in passing in Episode 2, it takes away all of the clones autonomy and forces them to kill their Jedi Generals who are their friends. This is explained in more detail in the Clone Wars season 6 and The Bad Batch.

2024-07-31 06:57:44 +0000 UTCThis has been confirmed by George Lucas himself. Anakin IS the Chosen One, while Ben and Yoda believe that Anakin is too far gone and can never be redeemed. Luke believes that Anakin can be redeemed and he is only the catalyst for his redemption, showing him mercy and love instead of anger and hate for all the evil things he has done.

2024-07-30 22:58:48 +0000 UTCNo, Luke is not the chosen one. Anakin finally fulfills the prophecy when he saves Luke and kills the Emperor. Everyone always seems to forget Vaders redemption at the end of ROTJ once they move on to the prequels.
