I mean you didn't totally misunderstand it per se lol, it's just that Himari's own thoughts have not reached that “foregone conclusion” yet. Yori seems way more certain of herself/who she can love and even Himari’s friends interpreted things similarly to how Yori did it seems. But for Himari, being closeted can mean a lot of what she said was still out of love, but it was done sorta unconsciously on her part I think. Still a nice first episode, looking forward to more!
