Season 1, episode 2: The dude who kidnapped Claire, to Claire: "I've heard about your brother. When you showed signs of possession, he is the one that healed you, right?" Claire's reply to the guy: "Not that again. I keep telling people, that's not what happened. There is no way that boy could have healed me." Meanwhile Cid, approximately 10 mins earlier in the same episode: *Casually cures Alpha of her possession* I dunno man about you (Keith Engel) man, but to me that seems pretty obvious. Although it is an easy to miss part, so I wouldn't blame anyone completely forgetting about it. But you say this episode is the first time they brought up the possibility of Claire being possessed, and so I must've imagined it all, and most definitely didn't spend half a minute looking up the episode to give you the exact quotes to prove you wrong. After all, you called Zekkn wrong and worded it with such confidence that you yourself couldn't be wrong. Right?

2023-12-27 17:34:53 +0000 UTCIf it was so obvious that Claire was possessed in Season 1 and that she was healed then Bluest wouldn't be asking questions about it....I have watched the show, and many reactions on it and in the end in Season 1 it never states that Claire was possessed, just kidnapped, it never states that Cid heals her possession in Season 1. This is the first time they mention Claire being possibly possessed period in the show. I haven't forgotten a damn thing, everything you brought up is conjecture, but never explicitly stated or revealed till later in the Manga/LN. But whatever my guy.

Which I guess in some cases people would consider that a spoiler. Either way it's not the end of the world if a little bit is spoiled, it's not a huge detail anyway. I'm more just glad that you had that much to say about my reaction lol, shows I'm doing something right on the discussion end of things

2023-10-12 21:06:06 +0000 UTCin season 1 of the show, we know why claire was kidnapped ( on top of the numerous clues SHOVED into your face making it even more obvious if you somehow missed it ) and she states my brother healed me... the kid napper even alluded to it himself, unless you are referring to the fact that cid cares for claire... to which that has pretty much always been the case even in the show its just harder to see( its just a misunderstanding alot of people seem to have cause they think cid is always in "CHUNIBYO" mode ). all of my other points all come from what the ANIME has shown us, so what "spoilers" are you referring to... note you not remembering or understanding something that was already there or explained doesn't count as a spoiler...(i knew all of these things before i even checked out the source material or looked into the series so it cant be "OUTSIDE" knowledge, maybe you just had trouble putting the pieces together or didn't pick up on it?, could just be forgetting too, i have seen alot of people forget things that we have seen multiple times from season 1 already just in the past 2 episodes which can happen, nothing to be too ashamed about)

You can assume though it could be the possibility of her being a possessed as to why the cult took her. There was a hint concerning this matter in this episode though of Claire's possession. Lots of interesting Lore dropped this episode with the Vampires and Mary overall, glad you are enjoying this season so far. Rose is also on the cover in the upper left hand corner of the picture.

2023-10-12 07:38:23 +0000 UTCso i guess a few clarifications / reminders that will help with things making sense with this episode and the ones about to come. Don't worry this is all info that we either learned in season 1 or that was already common knowledge at this point in the story ( as is the case with adaptations they are bound to emit alot of crucial info that helps with understanding why certain characters act or make the decisions they do at that point in time... it sucks but what can ya do? ) so in regards to the artifact its not so much that the artifact was keeping her heart alive per se, if you notice the whole body withered and where her heart is supposed to be what was left is the "artifact?"... ill leave you to put the pieces together as to what that means for other artifacts and how they come into existence. in regards to claire being possessed, yes we learned in season 1 that she showed "signs" of being possessed but her brother "healed" her and now it seemingly hasn't been a problem since. She isn't aware that cid did what he has done for all the other shadow garden members in curing them and giving them power (how could she?, she still thinks cid is "weaker" than her, plus shadow garden and the cult were not things that were on everyone's mind around that time) so she still thinks that she could become a monster at any point still. That's why beta said she has no need to worry about if there is a cure for possessed people... she already took the cure, just unknowingly. Cid actually does care about claire a fair bit, but the only times we have seen them interact in the show are when cid is trying to do other things while claire is getting in his way/setting up something else, so it seems he doesn't care but its more that the show just hasn't done as good a job to this point showing more sides to how cid thinks or how he prioritizes things. (Don't get me wrong he does have a lot of moments where he will do something seemingly insane just to be cool but he is not ONLY that which i have noticed a lot of people that watch/talk about the seem to think) Otherwise great reaction, its good to see you put some of the pieces they have setup together as what makes this series a cut above the rest for me is that while yes cid is funny and we all love how he is "THAT GUY", going the extra mile to learn something just to look stylish/cool (who wouldn't if they could), the rest of the world is taken very seriously and actually has a very well thought out story/lore, with interesting characters that exist outside of cid/shadow and its how they interact/change due to his influence and meddling that makes all the elements of the series gel so well. (woops, this turned out way longer than i had planed, sorry for the wall of text, can't wait for the next reaction) if i was wrong on any points someone feel free to correct me, as i am just going off of things from the top of my memory.
