All Purpose Rifle Setup

Hello Tier II and Tier III,

In this video I cover my All Purpose Rifle Setup.

This one is good if you are going to be stretching out the range and get the most out of the platform.

We'll be dialing this in at the range soon and we'll make an update video.

Thank you for supporting Vigilance Elite. You are helping make it possible for us to deliver exclusive content.

More Rate My Rifle in editing.

Cheers

What length barrel is that?

Bigwater

Do the metal fore grips get too hot to hold barehanded? I would prefer the durability of metal with battery storage. I currently use the polymer Daniel Defense fore grip with rubber sides.

Jack

Love it. Just built my own kinda "ultimate" rifle. 14.5-barrel BCM and essentially the same setup. I went with a Vortex scope 1x8 and just a basic Vortex red dot on the 45'. I think it's their crossfire. Everything else is essentially the same and simple. I don't hook a pressure switch on the white light though, still have a fear of that thing going on and I've been out since 07. 14.5 is a lot of weapon IMO and it just felt right to extend both its range and capability. Totally with you on the Troy modular grip obsession, it's legit and a must have.

FYI the BE Meyers 249F is out of production. But JP rifles bought the rights to it and is making a 3 prong version. both of these things chew up like 90 percent or more of muzzle flash. So if you have a rifle you do not want a can on there you go.

Nice!

One of my setups is very similar

Chance Crocker

Nice on the deck! We'll make some videos on scopes when we're out dialing this thing in.

Shawn

Eotech is usually my preference. I would maybe try an Aimpoint. Different type of tech Eotech is holographic and Aimpoint is a red dot.

Shawn

That thing looks pretty slick but I haven't tried it yet.

Shawn

Never used them I'll have to check it out. Defensive PCC will have more budget friendly options in practice. Going to run it out on the range.

Shawn

Thanks Robert.

Nice setup. I’m still thinking of making the jump into a LPVO, but I just built a huge deck onto my house, so funds are a little tight. Hope you can talk about first vs. second focal plane with LVPOs.

Derek Ferguson

Do you have any optics recommends for guys with astigmatism? I tried the standard Eotech and the circle looked like a Christmas tree after 17 beers. I would assume that I would never need anything beyond 200 yards so I'm not really looking for a scope.

Matt Gibson

When it comes to WML I highly recommend anything cloud defensive. The OWL is unmatched in the durability category. Their cost directly matches quality

Alex Bracksieck

As always, Great shit! Swampfox optics also makes a range of LPVO's (even a 1-10x) with different reticles and all for under 700 bucks. Great glass and a smaller company out of Colorado. Food for though and thought I would share with the community. They also have been tested to be some of the toughest optics out there (youtube has some funny, yet rugged, torure test videos that put their optics through the ringer and still hitting zero even after they bend the optic tube). Love the setup, but maybe as a budget saver thought is to omit the suppressor with a barrel of that length, though you can never truly go wrong with a can. Keep up the awesome content, my friend! And John, keep up the excellence as well!!

Tyler Ravenscroft

Great video Shawn! Nice Setup
