Great chatting tonight on live!
Here is a video on Mindset and Situational Awareness, applied to the concept of Reading The Room. This should help with the real time processing concepts.

Good video. I wasn't sure if you were going to talk about CQB or social anxiety, I was interested either way.

2021-04-03 04:39:46 +0000 UTCGreat Video, as always thanks for explaining in detail. I’d the inside of the house doesn’t have lights on and your coming in out of bright sunlight. Would you step to the side as you come through the door and let your eyes acclimate or not go in unless you have a flashlight?

2021-04-03 04:39:01 +0000 UTCMore great content, Shawn. Thanks, Bro. I'm coming fairly late to the party here, but your last couple of lessons have really got me thinking about planning for home defense. Fortunately, or whatever, I've been living in Left Coast LaLaLand for most of my life, and in what I felt to be fairly safe neighborhoods...until they're suddenly not...and who knows what the next five or ten years will bring. Again, great lessons, Shawn. Stay well.

2021-04-02 11:25:25 +0000 UTCAnd I have only seen one gold desert eagle in person one time. And at that store you almost could not get to the counter. That thing got some weight to it.

2021-04-02 02:12:00 +0000 UTCWith summer coming up and people will be going out and doing more. It kinda goes along with Situational Awareness. Could you talk some about crowds as well. I have kids one of the things we do if we go somewhere with them. We take their picture in the parking lot. So we have a recent picture of them even if we don’t take any pictures later.

2021-04-01 21:05:57 +0000 UTCI know it sounds weird but is there any tips you used personally to get yourself in the mindset of "holy fuck get your shit together" knowing you have to engage?

2021-04-01 20:25:47 +0000 UTCAlso should we be aggressive kind of storming the room? Or changing levels/trying to be quiet, etc

2021-04-01 20:21:34 +0000 UTCWhat's your first thought/reaction when you go into that room if theres a bad guy in the center of it. If you're first man in are you committed to engaging or are you clearing your corners and expecting your buddy behind you to engage him? And if you do engage how aggressive are you? Could you do an example of a single man entry vs with a team? What are the differences?

2021-04-01 20:19:31 +0000 UTCFirst, the Titanium Nitride Desert Eagle is straight gangster! Second, I think you did a good job explaining the reading of the room. No two rooms are the same so going over what is a possible threat and what is unlikely is what I got from it. I also have one question, not necessarily in regards to beaching doorways because as you have taught us if this happens you suck and are screwed. The question is in regards to being surrounded by multiple threats. So let's say you are getting into your car or you have a person coming from the front and the back or basically any situation where the angles are not in your favor and moving to where the angles are, just isn't an option. In sparing when we train multiple on one, our goal is to not focus on one person at a time but work them all to keep one then the other away and eventually finish them off. So, if engaging with a firearm, should I shoot one round at each then follow up or failure drill each one.. I know kind of a hard question but I'm interested in your thoughts.
