Which AR15 mags do you use?
Here's a video explaining the advantages and drawbacks I take into account when selecting AR15 magazines.
More Setups and Reviews in production and we're slated to finish the pistol fundamentals series to be released this month. From there, we'll be getting into more advanced instruction.
Keep those comments coming, I'm having a good time making videos directly responding the engagements on this platform.
Cheers!

2021-03-08 01:34:33 +0000 UTCEach piece of gear has pluses and minuses. I'm a big fan of the standard metal AR mags. I think it's just one of those, if it ain't broke don't fix it, things.

2020-08-20 05:32:45 +0000 UTCNot trying to over-think things, but only curious and have these questions: 1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of 30 round mags vs. 40 round mags, and visa versa? For example, 40s are heavier when fully loaded; but 30 is 10 less than 40. And though 40s are 10 more, they are taller and maybe more likely to hang on stuff. Or maybe one is better than the other while shooting in the prone. 2. Are there any disadvantages to the mags that have a translucent, almost transparent side to them. Like maybe the brass shines when a light hits them at night and gives you away. Again, not trying to over-think anything. Just curious, in case there is something important about it. Thanks. Great info, training, etc., Shawn and Katie.

2020-08-20 05:10:56 +0000 UTCI like to keep my stuff universal. Metal hags run in my bull pups and AR platforms.

2020-05-07 16:05:48 +0000 UTCNothing wrong with short to the point video. I used to carry metal mags. Had top get bent once on quick reload, strictly my fault i'm bad, needless to say didn't feed. 30 rounds I couldn't use. One of my cousins in the 101 air assault used pmags, cause a Sargent of his said they will feed better in sand. So after my metal mags took a walk, i picked up some pmags. Had not thought about the bolt carrier wearing out the top. Good point. When i get a few things taken care maybe i'll go pickup some metal mags. I like Jareds point about different mags for different ammo.

2020-05-06 15:53:08 +0000 UTCLancer makes some interesting stuff I'd like to test more. Labeling stuff or having a system is definitely helpful when you start adding different calibers that can use the same mags and bcg. ππ»

2020-05-04 06:42:25 +0000 UTCPMAGs are good. It's also good to run what you trust gained through your own experience. ππ»

2020-05-04 06:40:31 +0000 UTCI use the surefeed metal mags for 5.56 and lancer mags (they are a similar to a p-mag but have metal on the top instead of plastic) for my 300 blackout. I use the different mags as a tactile indicator not to put the wrong mag in the wrong gun as both rounds will chamber in each and 1 of those scenarios goes boom in the wrong way....

2020-05-03 13:43:13 +0000 UTCIβve been using the same 6 Pmags for 8 years, I used them on all 3 deployments and I beat the shit out of them at the range. In my experience Iβve had more issues with metal mags then I have ever had with PMAGS. But thatβs just my experience
