MPX Alternatives Budget Friendly PCCs

PASSWORD: VE2435T1

"I'm on a WalMart budget and my wife is the CEO." - Andrew
This was a great question on the MPX SETUP Video I did a few weeks ago. I hear you man! Guns are expensive and there are lots of options out there.

It is really hard to justify spending upwards around $3-4k on a PCC and truth be told, you don't have to. Hopefully this helps!

These are two examples of PCCs that are more economically friendly and can fill the same role as an MPX or other high dollar variant.

This video covers a few of the many options out there. Full reviews and setup videos of both the Ruger PC Carbine and AR Style PCCs will be coming in the future.

Please let me know any questions below.

Tier II: New drill getting edited tonight! 🀘🏻

Tier III: Group Chat with video tomorrow at 6PM CST πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Stay safe out there!

Cheers.

can anyone point me to the MPX setup video? I have watched the home defense gun video but I can't find the one where Shawn talks about setting up his MPX either on here or YouTube

The pistols are pretty cool because no wait but the shorties are cool too if you can get them in your area.

Shawn

What brand was the ar style you were shooting. Is it a palmetto state armory?

Justin Rhymer

Shawn whats your opinion on class 3 vs a "pistol" ar with our current government situation? I can pm you as well if you would rather answer that question in private.

Justin Rhymer

My thoughts exactly with beretta cx4 . Beretta sidearm mag match. "Streamline"

Hmm. That's a bummer about the charging handle getting in the way of a front sight on the rail. I'd try contacting Foxtrot Mike. They'll probably have some sort of solution as I'm sure this isn't the first time it's come up with that platform. Cool to hear it runs reliably!

Shawn

I have about 500 rounds through it so far, though I know that's not a lot. I've shot steel and brass through it just fine and no malfunctions so far. I'm able to shoot the same defense rounds (124-grain Federal HST) that I use for my pistol which is very convenient. I also like it because I know my wife can handle it too. I bought the Holosun HS10 red dot and it seems to be a good budget option; there's some positive reviews on it. I'm sure it's not war-ready but for home defense use it'll do the job. The only problem is that with the side-charging handle on the front of the upper I'm not sure how I'll get iron sights on it because anything mounted to the top rail gets in the way. I'll probably need a gunsmith and see what they can do. Otherwise I'm happy with it as a home defense weapon.

Nice! Let us know how it holds up.

Primary Arms sells Foxtrot Mike 9mm carbines and I think the most expensive one is $679. I bought a 7.5" barrel and I really like it so far. It has an M-Lok handguard for adding shit to it and takes Glock mags as well.

Jason Nichols

I have two brigade 9mm ar’s. One full length and one with a 7 inch barrel. I got the shorter one because it’s considered a pistol and here in TN I can keep it in the car loaded if I need to. Never had an issue with either one of them.

I think you just talked me into the psa i was against them at first because i hate the appearance of the glock mags i have no idea why it bothers me so bad but it just looks un proportional but i can purchase the psa mags optic flashlight and a glock 17 and still be under the cost of just an mpx

Chance Crocker

Great video. I've been seriously thinking of purchasing the one off of psa but I don't understand the sbr law really i know your not supposed to shoulder them 😎, but realistically its gonna happen. I really just wanted for home protection so easier to access in a different spot of the house then my bedroom if needed.

For full on survival, I like the 22lr. PCC and Rifle calibers both have their roles. PCC thrives in the urban environment and indoor areas. Rifle calibers are going to be superior in more outdoor type environments where range and wind are more of a factor (also requires more training). Gloves were virus precaution but one ripped! Hand washing was in order.

I love the idea of stream lining your firearms for multi mag use! As an all around bug out gun, would you prefer to have a pistol carbine style setup like an MPX or other for multi mag use?, Or would you prefer to have an AR 5.56? And why do you wear nitrile gloves while shooting? Just curious? Good video man!
