As a grad student studying librarianship, this video is actually really helpful. In school, we’re basically taught how to best serve and recommend books and services based on the patron’s appeal. But what if they don’t feel appealed by our recommendation? Or what if they don’t like our recommendation? Or what if we recommend as you called them, airports books and it turns out they’ve seen that book before and decided not to read it? It’s all a huge learning curve about people and what they like.
