If you want to watch a great Vietnam war movie then check out "Born on the 4th of July". It stars Tom Cruise and really shows the after effects of Vietnam on the soldiers who have returned home. Its Tom Cruise's best performance along with "Magnolia". Trust me after watching those two films you'll get a new appreciation for Tom Cruises acting.
