Less is more - More music on Less discs.

The Hi-Vision videos last week took a lot of time to get together. While I know this sounds overly dramatic, after I finished editing them it felt like I had jet-lag for a few days. I seem to get this feeling whenever editing stretches on longer than normal. It’s like a weird fog combined with extreme tiredness. I used to get a similar side effect when I looked at massive excel spreadsheets for days on end in my previous job. It’s probably just some kind of migraine but without the pain.

Regardless, as a result of having a bit of downtime this week's video is a much simpler affair.

In it I take a look at a couple of techniques that were used to squeeze more music onto one disc for reasons that made perfect sense at the time.

In other news, a new Behind The Scenes blather-thon video will be along at the weekend.

Neat, I was unaware of either of these.

The 8-Bit Guy

I didn't realise until I went back to vinyl recently that a quieter recording was so they could fit more on a side. I lover these little bits of modified technology that push the boundaries
