Progress Report - 02/28/2021

Dear Patrons, 

It was a productive week. I was able to finish two great scenes. One is a flashback which turned out wonderful, I'm very proud of it. You'll get to see where Penny came from. It's only the first flashback, there will be more to come if this one is well received. 

All the main love interests are completely finished! Now, there were a lot more characters I had to create than just the love interests. But since we've got the bulk of the characters created now, I should be able to focus more on scenes. Let me run through the tome with you.

We have nine scenes so far which is woefully low for a months worth of work. But since it's the beginning of the game and I had to build everything from scratch, we're going to chalk it up to that and see how this coming month plays out. I have two specific points in mind where I can stop this Chapter. An early point and a later point. Which point I release at depends on this coming month's progress. I really want to hit that later point and make this chapter as long as possible! That's the goal. I'll keep you posted!

I've decided to change Penny's theme music. The game won't be Funk or Jazz, it's going to be more Rock based. And we'll have some of the more gentle moments be classical. I'm also going to try to do an appropriate amount of sound effects.

I did 100 renders last week. Typically I can do 15 renders a day with a day or two each week set aside for writing / coding / misc. So 100 renders is pretty good for one week. We're at 2,290 lines of code and going to try to land around 10,000 for release which would make this first episode of Penny's game longer than Avalon's Bonus Episode. That would be exceptional.

NO DREAM SEQUENCES! Absolutely. Not. The flashback is there to explain where Penny came from but there will be no sex scenes in it. I hate sex in VNs when it's just a dream sequence. Dream sequence sex scenes are like German sausage. Just the wurst! 

This is Deneve Dashwood. She's a tough as nails country gal from, you guessed it, Texas! She'll work for Henry West as a special assignments freelancer and she'll be sporting a quickdraw that rivals even Penny's reaction speed. She's also going to have a great sense of humor. She'll be a Love Interest for Penny. She likes her romps in the hay extra rough!
