As a break from our usual scheduled programming of complete radio silence, today I present to you a little bonus content. A PVP arena one-shot map and module for Foundry VTT!
This is a yearly event I try to do for my players (ex-players, really, at this stage), wherein I make them pay an entry fee just to get destroyed in a single turn by some overpowered combo. They seem to enjoy it all the same. This year, I cranked up the Production Value™; the included Foundry module contains all sorts of fun interactivity, giving it the vibe of a mod map for <videogame of your choice>.
I humbly offer this game pack up to you, my wonderful patrons, so that you might derive some enjoyment from it too. If nothing else, the module has some code that you're free to dissect and make use of, and the same goes for the map.
The game pack, complete with rules, DM notes, and installation instructions can be found here. Due to the nature of the beast, my brain-dump documentation is probably inadequate. If there's anything missing or in need of clarification, please do get in touch either here, or, preferably, in Discord. I'll do my best to hand out Sage Advice.
Additionally, a lossless copy of the map can be found here. I designed the map (so blame me for it being far too large), and the art was commissioned from this cool art dude. For a guy who has never made D&D battlemaps before, I think he knocked it out the park. Feel free to get in touch if you like his style; he was open to the idea of doing more. His prices (and blame me if this is wrong) were £50-100 per 25x25 square battlemap.
In other news, my primary development efforts continue to go towards implementing a "charactermancer" in Foundry. I've recently more-or-less completed work on the "classes" section, which is the biggest and most obnoxious part. Alongside this, I've completely re-written the Statgen page for a certain website (the code was in dire need of a tidy-up, and I needed to write a re-usable "point buy" UI anyway). That update is coming soon, including support for TCE race rules, and better race search/filtering.
Until next time, happy holidays, and stay safe out there.
