Slightly Higher-Grade Plutonium
Added 2019-08-06 22:03:31 +0000 UTCA small update, because there's already been plenty of feedback on the module--critically, that getting the thing to load involves arcane rituals and prayer to the dark gods.
Thanks to the sleuthing efforts of the fine folks in the #plutonium-issues channel on Discord, the probable source of this issue has been tracked down. I'm having difficulty reproducing it myself (i.e., have literally never seen it happen), so I'm not all that confident in my fix, but the only way forward is by chucking something out and hoping for the best. So here we are. In those immortal words, "it works on my machine."
The updated v0.0.2a is available here, and includes the following changes:
- Added workaround for Plutonium sometimes loading after Foundry had already fully initialized, thus causing Plutonium to miss the part where it's supposed to hook into the UI.
- The "Import" button is now kept fixed at the bottom of import list windows.
- Added importer support for Better NPC 5e sheets.
- Added support for Node.js versions as old as version 10 (current is 12), as 10 is the minimum Foundry requires.
- Enabled importing class levels even if there are no features present at that level.
- Added weapon bonuses to weapon damage (previously only applied to to-hit).
- (Automated some stuff, so there's less chance of me messing up and releasing broken ZIPs.)
Auto-update isn't going to be supported until the module becomes public, so you'll have to delete (or even better, backup somewhere safe) your current version, and download/extract the latest. The previous version is still available linked in the first post, although I can't guarantee I won't need to clean out old versions as my MEGA fills up, so consider these "ephemeral" at best.
And that's it. Not much to look at, because I'm back in <removed>-proper land for the time being, slowly fixing all the holes in the DM Screen Clock/Calendar widget for the next site release. Also to be included in the next main-site update is a homebrew builder for spells, which I got frustrated at not having available and so bashed out over the weekend.
Hopefully the next <removed> update isn't far off, as my next two weekends are going to be at least partially filled with boring IRL stuff, so I'll aim to get whatever's ready out ASAP before I have to go AWOL, KK?
Until next time,
~ Giddy
